Subject: The League 3 trap
this is only my second season in league 3, im making profit every week, have a full junior school running, and looking like im going to finish in the top half of the tabble this season. all i've done to achieve this is buy 5 1st team trainees, and trained them for 2 seasons so there at a high level, and still trainable.
everyone complains about what players to train to make profit. the answer is simple, every player can make you money if you get them cheap. i never think to myself, im buying him tomorrow, for the simple reason is, i will be likely to over pay for him. i don't buy players to suit my team, i buy them to make money, or fill a gap for very little investment. and its working, i'm hopping to be in this league another 2 seasons after this one and promote, so think ill be in league 2, playing the game for alot less than 2 years.
to make money its not about making the best trainers to train you expensive players, its buy cheap players, not talented sell on for your money back, if there talented keep for 1 season, sell with prof of talent, or keep for longer and place them in your first team. this has to be the easiest way out... if it isn't, or people disagree then please explain ;)

in theory sounds good but buying cheap talented players is practically impossible and if you buy cack it will still be cvack and wont make you any money
Not really, I've bought plenty of talents on the cheap, then slightly better players, and so on
i have a playing ive got in my first team i brought when he was 17 for 14k. think i could sell him for about 700k now. i also brought a striker for 50k, trained for 2 season and sold for 1m. so it is very possible, and this was with quite bad couches. the money for team stuff isn't super talented, proven players, it's finding your own teams stars and building them into your team, or selling them at a very good profit.
im very pleased with how my teams going, ive only just bin playing for a few days over a year, got about 500k in the bank and a team that will finish mid table in my league, so im very happy.

well the fact that i've been playing longer than you and your team is already better than mine, is proof enough that your strategy works good. lol
I just cant get motivated enough to commit to my training plans. i tend to change them when i get bored annoyingly.

" looking like im going to finish in the top half of the tabble this season"
not with this team
" i'm hopping to be in this league another 2 seasons after this one and promote, so think ill be in league 2, playing the game for alot less than 2 years. "
not really, you need more investment and more money to get to league 2 - i spent in last season about £13kk to get into league 2 and to be able to compete not just give points away :)

i disagree - to make money yo do not buy players, you take them from your youth school and then train and sell them - explain - look at my statistics - over £23kk from juniors (not including additional profit from next sales) and still 5 of them in first team (in league 2) and 5 in reserve.

with current finances making me 60k profit every 2 weeks. thats 840k a season. 2 season worth of funds give me over 1.5m what im planning on buying 1 striker with i 2 season. i have a very nice 5 mids that in 2/3 season will be trainined to league 2 standard. and my defnece will be some olds guys i get for cheap. i have a youth school, and sell everyone who comes out of it on the pricable that they might be good fro me, but i would like there value in cash, then buy the 'perfect trianie' or my current plans. rather than be given a player with random skill distrabution.
we will see what happens but i have a decent team atm that im only planning on buying 1-2 more people for 2 seasons (maybe a new goalkeeper next season if i see one i like)

hehe, you are so optimistic
have a good idea - let's play friendly at my stadium next week. I will fit team with 5 reserve defenders and than you will be able to see what is a difference in league 2.
£1.5kk for striker it gives you middle class striker in league 3 :)

Erlend Klavan, age: 27
club: Universidad de Santiago, country: Eesti,
value: 813 300 £, wage: 8 100 £,
divine form, formidable tactical discipline,
height: 184 cm
bookings:
formidable stamina poor keeper
magical pace good defender
magical technique excellent playmaker
magical passing adequate striker
Statistics:
Official matches: 41
Goals in official matches: 21
Assists in official matches: 19
so i think now you see you may be a bit too optimistic with your training.
Also according to our match - if there will be a good attendance that you should get additional £30k after our match as this is money that i usually takes from friendlies. From league match i usually takes over £300k so those are the others things you should think about if you want to compete in league 2 because looking at your stadium you do not have a lot of incomes :)

i spent 650k on my 26 year old striker and hes getting 2 highest adverage marks in the league in the striking area :)
Marks are not the be all and end all.
You could put a midfielder in defence with tragic defending and would get around 40-50 marks for instance, but would be utterly useless unless the ball is astray.

i know this, at the end of the day i have a plan in place, what i want to achieve, but wont be disapointed if it doesn't happen. why make aims that are easlily achievable. end of the day i have planned objectives to help reach a slightly improbable challenge. in my eyes this just makes the game better for me having a plan and going for it.
and i know adverage mark dont tell the whole story :) but there a good indercation if nothing else.

look at this
49% Possession 51%
40% Play in the half 60%
25 Shots 12
4 Fouls 4
0 Yellow cards 2
0 Red cards 1
0 Offsides 1
62.3 average mark 55.7
think now which team won?
if you want see score look at my last league match.
Goals in game are really nice and it is nice to have a motivation - i only tell you that you are a bit too optimistic.

we will see, looking at it it does seem unrealistic, but i dont care. im still gonna try.
The only thing I disagree with is not buying trainee's.
Youth school players are never consistent and you can't guarantee what skills they have when pulled. At least when you buy trainee's you can pick what skills you want. So if training tech you can purchase trainee's with low tech on the cheap and then make a nice profit.

I've found the best move to be to try and train your own youths, but if you can't fit them in then buy them in. Been more on the own youth side lately though as have had a good run of juniors, but did go a long time without decent ones at one point.
