Subject: Weekly Training

2006-12-15 15:27:32
I have always trained strikers, and rotate my training to suit those players - i.e. do some scoring, pace, technique and stamina.

But either method is viable.
2006-12-15 15:29:27
i think that way is the best way and probably will make you more money at the end of the day
2006-12-15 15:56:22
Long term, I plan to not do that though.

I buy players for my reserves, mostly untrained, train them and then stick them in my first team. Fair few of my defenders have progressed through that system.

In the past, I've found that getting all-round players that are weak in only the skill that i'm training work quite nicely. At the moment, I've got a team with reasonable all-round skills, so i'm doing a few weeks of one skill, a few weeks of another to top them up. I must do some tech training soon though.

I did that aswell, although I went for one very weak (usually pace), and one managable with a lot of room for improvement.

hm, i'm going full circle except scoring and goalkeeping with the same bunch, sell the 24yos and replace them with 19-21 yos. quite a primitive regime, come to think of it ;)
2006-12-15 16:50:54
I'm the same. I train wingers, so rotate pace, passing, playmaking and technique. Although one or two of my trainees started with some defence, so they'll turn out a bit more like centre mids.
2006-12-16 03:14:30
i must be lucky cuz all my def have come from youth team with pretty good secondries apart from the new trainees who i bought
2006-12-16 11:03:37
I'm rotating around everything except GK, although I may not do striking again - it's awkward.

The idea is that in the end nearly every player in the team is or was a trainee for at least a couple of season
