pace trains slower and can depend wether they were in a low or high sub-level when they last popped.

Example is I had a guy who too 3 weeks between solid and very good and 5 between verygood and excellent. I expect it to be evened out by him taking 4 weeks to formidable
2007-12-27 12:27:13
Pace is certainly pretty slow at the high levels too.

Its hard to make someone realise just how slow a pace pop between say incredible and brilliant should be, especially as 21+.
2007-12-27 12:29:27
Yeah, i think it could be the sub-levels toying with me.

Thing is, one particular guy didn't get much general training before i started training pace again, so sub-popped to outstanding pace in 3 weeks.

Now nothing after 6 :o( indeed it seems pace is a touch slower than other skills.
2007-12-27 12:29:33
yeah, has taken 7 weeks between formidable and outstanding on a 24yr old of mine
2007-12-27 12:30:28
OK, now i think i realise ;o)

I just had planned on switching training some time soon!

Cheers guys.

pace is a skill that has be trained for a minimum of a season and preferably 2 if your to get the most out of it, in my opinion
2007-12-27 12:33:06
I'm training it for ever, and the pops at the high levels are still frustratingly slow.

I know its not the players lack of talent either as I have had them since being a YP, or for many seasons.
2007-12-27 12:33:09
Aye, in my near 3 seasons i have been playing, i've done 1 season of tech and it looks like this is going to be 2 full seasons of pace!
2007-12-27 12:34:47
I have 3/4 of a season left which will make it 2 seasons. It does mean you can get your trainies sorted for longer and make a bigger profit. You can also do what I've done which is improve a whole lot
2007-12-27 12:37:02
Well training your entire squad does certainly make for large improvements in all areas!

I wish I could train my players really long-term, but as I never plan to switch training, I always have to be selling off players when its the best time to sell.
2007-12-27 12:37:07
Now i understand the game better, i have also used it to see how talented the players i have bought are.

In the new season, i should be able to make a bit of cash by selling off my pace trainees and moving on to something that doesn't warrant having 22 players in my squad, and hopefully get the odd nice player in.
