Stamina for me, first time in a couple of seasons and turned out ok. Lots of double pops and every player under Formidable stamina popped.

Got a very nice random on my Keeper who popped to formidable, so my 400k gamble on him has paid nice dividends there. Hes 19 just........20 soon but has almost Outstanding pace, Exc passing and with that GK pop hopefully has gained some nice value?
2008-05-29 09:21:04
Yep, he will have gained a little in value, worth around 800-900k now I would think.

I trained stamina too, got 24 pops from 17 players who needed it. I was pretty happy with that, especially as five more players now have formidable stamina.

No random pops though.

Well to double in Value I am more than happy with. ;)

I always hate doing stamina but as you say it is necessary.
2008-05-29 09:27:39
I hate it too, but a worrying amount of my first XI needed stamina training and all my reserves. I figured that in order to better compete in the cup and league next season it was needed.
2008-05-29 09:28:42
Yes well half my first team have less than solid so it was necessary here too. Hopefully I can get past round 2 for the first time ever now. lol....I doubt it though.

Same boat, lots of players low in stamina so trained it and got a random on my no.1 'keeper too! And he was the only one to random in another skill; passing!

16 pops and 6 doubles, everyone that could, did.

striker training, no pops, but every little counts, my 3 striker first teamers are another week closer to popping.
2008-05-29 10:35:09
You say that...
2008-05-29 10:35:46
I do. Look, it's 2 posts above this one, just above yours.
2008-05-29 10:39:52
Stamina for me. Got all I expected.

Randoms:
18 Good Passing
17 Adequate Passing
18 Adequate Defending
19 Adequate Playmaking
17 Average Tech
17 Average Pace

Quite happy with that.

Sacraficed a week of stamina training to do just 5 players def training, but they were all very near pops so was it worth it?

20 Y/old def trainee to brilliant def + random to adequate tech.
18 y/old def trainee to incredible def
20 y/old def trainee to very good def

Random:

18 y/old def trainee to unsat striker

Was it worth it? I think it was just for those 3 def pops.

Onto a week or two of stamina training now.
2008-05-29 12:01:01
Depends, if you end up doing 2 weeks of stamina training anyway you might aswell have done it the other way round?

If you do 1 week of stamina, and you are not going back to defender or you are selling them then good idea.

I do 2 season cycles of pace and def. Probably selling def trainees on when they get to magical + def and at least outstanding pace I would have thought. That means that at least one of my trainees will probably be sold at the end of this season, he will be 22 and magical (hopefully unearthly as close to a def pop) with at least outstanding pace. He also has nice secondaries so I hope he will go for at least £3m-£3.5m at the start of next season. This is him:

Bonifacio Grandoni, age: 21

club: AFC Bramford Lane, country: Italia
value: 300 900 £, wage: 2 700 £
adequate form, solid tactical discipline

formidable stamina average keeper
very good pace magical defender
adequate technique very good playmaker
excellent passing weak striker

He took 6 weeks to go from brilliant to magical, and is currently + 4 in def training so probably wont random in def this season :( But he is close to random pops in pm and passing :)
