im training passing as from next week.is there any difference between magical and unearthly in the coach's passing skill?
Yeah, clearly, but I wouldn't sweat it. Especially if it's all you can afford, it's a stop gap, if you already have four coaches and he's your best or he kicks ass in every other department.
i have 2 assistants 1 junior coach and this guy is my head coach
Hugo Oxbrow, age: 64,
wage: 11 475 £
club: mansfield magic, country: England
formidable coach
Training effectiveness:
excellent of stamina, tragic of keeper
unearthly of pace, incredible of defender
unearthly of technique, average of playmaker
magical of passing, outstanding of striker

Right, 3 assistants is optimal, anyway. Can you afford a third assistant? If so, might I suggest a third assistant with unearthly passing (and maybe one or two other choice unearthlies for the random poppage)? He can be your main coach for the duration of your passing training, with your current head coach relegated temporarily to assistant (maintaining the 3 ass coach/1 head coach thing).
got this guy but his wage is far too high for what i can afford
Duff Parry, age: 41,
wage: 19 800 £
club: mansfield magic, country: England
outstanding coach
Training effectiveness:
outstanding of stamina, magical of keeper
unearthly of pace, unsatisfactory of defender
excellent of technique, magical of playmaker
unearthly of passing, solid of striker

He'll definitely do. You can switch the two guys around when you switch to pace or tech.
I have each of my guys with at least one unearthly, maybe two or three, and with all four guys, I have every base covered except keeping and defending. Despite defending being perhaps the most (second most behind pace? Maybe a topic for another thread) important skill, I refuse to train it ever. Attack is where it's at :)

Trained def:
18 y/old trainee to v.good
21 y/old striker to unsat
22 y/old striker to poor
20 y/old nt prospect (belgium) to Incredible (4 weeks from last pop) :)
Only 1 random:
18 y/old trainee def to weak striker

21 y/old striker to unsat
22 y/old striker to poor
20 y/old nt prospect (belgium) to Incredible (4 weeks from last pop) :)
Only 1 random:
18 y/old trainee def to weak striker
Trained PM as normal:
20 y/old mid to excellent
19 y/old mid to good
19 y/old mid to adequate, also random to average tech
Randoms:
19 y/old mid to poor def.
The 19 y/old mid who popped to adequate seems to be talented. The pm pop was his second in 5 weeks, and the tech pop is his second RANDOM pop in that area in 8 weeks, I have not trained tech at all this season. Does this mean that he is highly talented? He was a 4 week popper in my junior school when he arrived.

That's pretty damn good. By my reckoning, 8 weeks general training (random) is about the same as one week's training in a trained skill. Most of my young players at similar levels have taken 21 days at the least to pop between random skills at low levels, so 8 weeks is fast, as my lot mostly have decent talent.
Suttie and Max think he is lying. Why? Why lie? Seems strange to me that they would accuse him of such a thing when they dont even know him. Hes my son and is not lying, I have seen the screen when he has clicked on him.
Dont worry dad, not worth the effort. im not bothered by it anyway. Just means that I will have a quality def mid by the time I am finished with him :)
Because it sets a new precedent for speed of random pops so it makes people a) doubt it and b) jealous!
If correct, it alters the relationship between general and main training speeds. I'd have thought a player popping that quick through general training would have popped 3-4 times in pm not twice. Another seasons training will show what's going on
