Even a stopped clock is right twice a day ;)

Guys, just go to England Association forum and see the tactics and preparings for today's match... share your ideas with Tom and help him to win... this should be a start for you, I mean there are a lot of pages written here but almost nothing there... C'mon stop talking and start the action! :)

I find alot of what you have written fairly offensive and want to answer a couple of your points.

1. You insinuating that sk England is an 'old boys club' and closed shop. It's an open and fair election, you joined it very late and your election speech was very weak and full of generalities and not any actual ways  of improving the nt. You also don't post on the boards so NOONE really knows you.

2. The old managers letting the nt team down. I for one and forestman as another have completely torn our teams apart to train English players. I am currently training a 27yo (bought for 250k) who is in the nt and a 25yo who's borderline. I also have 3 players in the u21s. Alot of other managers are the same.

Finally I appreciate you have been trying to entourage participation in the nt but it smells to me like sour grapes. I finds that leaders lead and politicians snipe and find fault in others.

A final finally, I haven't read this whole thread so if I have repeated anything, then I apologise.

I'm STILL gutted about Brocksopp! :(

Hmm. I've kept quiet on this for a few days, but here are my quick comments.

Firstly, in many ways I am pleased to see r3tarded's post. Whilst personally I wasn't keen on the tone of the message and some others in this forum, at least it does show passion for the NT role. Something that I feel is missing at the moment in England.

When I stood last year, I was clear that I was only going to stand for 1 term, my role was "stop-gap" and that I was more than happy to have other users support me in scouting and even assistant manager roles. I wanted users to have a platform for future NT role - something especially useful for lower-league users. The amount of interest I got was pretty low - and admittedly my time became limited so I didn't help my active scouts as much as I should, but there was a real chance for people thinking of standing for NT to add to their CVs via that route.

At the moment, there is a really good opportunity for any capable managers to become England NT manager. Most of the "top" teams that want to be NT manager have been NT manager and in any case there is a real opportunity. The most recent elections were actually very close - with winner - the England Premiership winner no less only ganed less than 40% of vote highlighting this.

However the NT election does not really last the 2 weeks. It can last for 1 or 2 seasons. My recommendations are:

1) Do a good job with your own team (you can prove this whatever league you are in)
2) Show interest in the England NT team during the seasons before election constructive support
3) Get known in the community - especially important for overseas managers ( I agree with gibbage post that Julius did all these 3 and would have probably won election in the past then he chose not to stand)
4) Think about your "management team" strategy early. Get users to support you & get momentum, try having a group of users with you - assistant, scout etc.
5) Be nice, direct, but constructive.

:)

Good points.

Mr Gibbage - I expected a lot better from you

I offer new ideas, & a lot brighter future for the England NT

England NT has continously going down the pan - I assume there is 100% agreement with that statement

The current England Manager (& ex Engalnd Managers) need to try understand why they fail
2011-10-28 15:21:10
I agree with Kipper - good points raised forestman

I have always believed there are very active & good quality Managers that are outside Leagues I & II

Bringing new ideas - & a much needed enthusiasm to Sokker England will help a lot

What I say is prove me wrong. As you haven't done it so far.

ncfc, enough is enough, shut up and get a life, start doing something constructive rather than throw stones and hide

England NT may need a new direction and that could be a fact but that is only going to happen with a few in here getting together behind the NT, you have not done so and are just randomgly accusing others labelling them as the old guard

i personally look at your team, your achievements and your tactics and see no reason for you to be the england manager nor judge others

What did you post to me, I'd appreciate seeing what you said. I also agree with ermjo, put up or shut up stop spouting random gibberish and start taking action otherwise you'll just annoy more people than you have.

Just so you know you've done none of those points
2011-10-29 01:12:07
Its really not worth worrying about Kipper.

As I said initially, there were no other serious candidates, why Emrejo didn't win by more is still beyond me.

All this waste of space has convinced me of is that NCFC is completely full of barnicles and Ken has a bit more about him than I remeber. With continued enthusiasm he could be more than worthy of a shot as manager.

I actually completely agree with everything you have written there.
