Subject: why vote for an already failed england manager for a second term
You've said all England managers have failed, yet you fail to back up your claims. Time and time again. I've challenged your statement and you have completely copped out of giving a proper answer.
I am disappointed, expected much better from you ncfc.

I didn't expect better, so at least I'm not disapointed.
A few years ago when someone wanted to become an NT manager there were a few things they could do to improve their chances of getting the NT job, they were:
Being active on the forums
Getting involved with the NT (Be a scout/post on NT threads/train players/talk/pm with current manager)
Help other users.
I had a look back to a previous election vote on the forum (March 2007) and on the first day of voting 6 users posted threads, and I believe the 2 favourites for the job had previously applied for the position, JPK who lost in that election would get the NT job later on.
Looking at the election threads, NCFC and Kenny2009 both put their election threads up a full week after ermejo, why should I take you seriously if you can't bother putting an election speech together until the second week? If there was a reason say so, and NCFC I'd hardly call yours a speech, 6 lines isn't what I'd deem a good application, look at maqoma and kenny2009's speeches and also at these 2 speeches from a previous election. Speech 1 and Speech 2.
I've generally found that the better the opening speech, the better the questions asked as follow ups, which is where serious voters decide who to vote for.
I was actually disappointed so few voted for maqoma, the first to post a thread and with a good speech to go along with it.
Also I wouldn't be criticising the "old guard" too much as I think all but 3 players in the NT squad have come from them. (This includes managers who have left who I believe started before 2008 (wideboys/goatz kidz etc))

Being a newbie I never knew who to vote for but followed Mr Gibbages questioning of the candidates and their answers for a guide, this left me with a 50/50 choice between Maqoma and Ermejo.
Maqoma though was not very active in his thread and to this day still has two questions remaining unanswered. One was from over a week before the end of the election.
Back on topic though, where are all these great idea's that ncfc has to improve the NT?

@ NCFC - everyone has lost respect for you with your continued ignorance and lack of answering questions. If you say the old guard has failed another 100 times - do you feel we will all start believing you....and that you with your ZERO youths and ZERO English trained players are the answer?
I want everybody to know that at least 5 users have asked you to name how you would alter the failing NT sides fortunes....and not once have you said anything remotely close to a reason. It's almost like you have been brain washed. Are you brain washed NCFC?
At least Ken has stated his willingness to help the NT this campaign, all you do is bleat on again and again.

looking back on his speech he was very lucky to get 6 votes i dont think he would have got any votes even if he ran for Andorra NT
blimey.
At least the England forum is a bit busier nowadays......
@Phil. How-very-dare-you suggest my NT role was the decline. I blame NorwichcityNil's rein for the downfall. Almost everyone else did at the time.... ;OP
Frankly, whoever and whatever takes over the NT, whether ermejo, Sir Alex Ferguson, Gibbage or NCFC,however tactically supreme they are, unless they have a streaky run, we'd struggle. Our players just are not as good as the top 10 nations. And that's a bigger issue than who the manager is in my eyes - that's about the number of active users with strong junior schools in our leagues and then ensuring NT players are trained - and best way is for them to be trained, is to be owned by English managers. I tried my best to do that with a number of players - e.g. Hagan, Plumbly, Sear, who were all trained to the detriment of my team, but it's tough. (And I've bailed out with Plumbly and Sear now, despite in a perfect world wanting them to be trained to 28-29)

That's a load of rubbish to be fair.
The England NT has decent enough players to win matches. I'm not being funny but it doesn't matter if the juniors being pulled stay in England or go abroad they still get trained the percentage of the time.
Its all the matches in between that knock our rankings like U-23 games etc.... This is down to user base. Tbh these games are a waste of time anyway. With the implement of the U-21 teams I don't see these necessary anymore.

The forum is a lot busier now - thanks to me
Every ex/potential new NT Manger need to be brave enough to say what he thinks for real
ncfc nil was for sure the weak link - in more ways than just NT Manager
The current NT Manager is a very weak people manager/motivator
NT England needs a very strong leader

Don't be disappointed Mr Gibbage, as I respect you a lot
With me you get tiptop quality - but perhaps not ever as you have seen it before
England forums getting more active?
The past don't really make a lot of difference to be honest - it's the future that matters most

I just don't see the point in all these threads about helping the NT, how you can train your squad to benefit the NT. Its aload of tripe really!
Players get trained its the main objective of the game, the NT comes second imo and is just a add on.
All what I want to see from the NT manager is playing the strongest squad possible week in week out and go for the win.
Just a quick question for forestman/Ermejo the game against Hellas not sure which of you were in charge, but why take off Buddle in 60min when he is a 3xDivine striker in form and replace him with a less better striker who's form isn't as high?
