Subject: why vote for an already failed england manager for a second term

2011-10-25 13:20:33
if that is the case, there should be a stipulation of criteria you have to meet, rather than be ridiculed in an open vote. I understand longevity holds some clout for running, but this game aint rocket science, and i have checked historically whats been achieved and i believe a relative newcomer wouldnt struggle to achieve these so called higher echelons of a long term user.

Its more an exercise of trust and experience - my tactics are still openly terrible (my defensive lines especially) - but I'm getting there. But if I was to stand here, I wouldn't achieve that a great a turnout for me.

Just a few quotes (funny, but sadly very serious)

I have already stated that England NT needs a fresh new direction - based clearly on the facts alone that the previous 'high profile' Managers have done their very best but 100% failed

The English NT is going down the pan - yet the long standing Managers still don't see the problems

Just a few quotes from those Managers

Phil_Fox85 to r3tarded
Given the lack of any real opposition I'm actually surprised he didn't win by a landslide.

wdp74 to r3tarded
He also did fairly well in his first term as England manager, we are a very POOR NT side now and that I am afraid is a fact

jpk030876 to wdp74
My 2nd stint was grbage though, and tbh, it wasnt helped by the English communities failure to show any kind of signs of interest as to what was going on!!! people on here are very quick to jump on peoples backs when the results are bad ( just like the english press!!) but very few paise or offer words of advice or encouragement.

I hardly post anymore in forums or message other users, i used to be a very active manager and i have mentored a few people on here, WDp and Phil being the main two. But lately i have seen a mjaor decline in the enthusiasm on the forums

ermejo to jpk030876
i see my appojntment has gone down well ;)

on the serious side, i honestly only stepped up and put myself forward to avoid the NT side to end up in the hands of a poor manager,

.............................................................................................................

England NT needs a complete change from those long serving Sokker Managers - that believe they are still doing a great job, but fail every time (jmho)

Everyone just needs to look at the facts of the England performances under their total control - it's 100% downhill (as expected tbh)

Time for a change in the next election I hope

2011-10-25 15:33:26
Its downhill because the bigger managers are quitting, meaning less youths are produced, which has a major knock on effect. These managers saying it are at the top for a reason.
2011-10-25 15:36:10
though these people are quitting, there are some of use newish managers coming though ;) though to be fair its harder to notice use as it takes about 2 years to get an established team though with a new manger, where as it takes minutes for a veteran manger to quit :(
2011-10-25 15:37:45
That's not true

The old guard are mostly still there

Sokker England needs a complete change - as the old timers just don't cut the mustard anymore with comms - tactics - enthusiasm

Time for change IMHO
2011-10-25 16:08:38
but in all seriousness any idea on what can be done to improve this?
2011-10-25 16:22:17
I am very serious indeed

Sokker England on the forums, & the NT is just going down the pan

The old Managers just keep the top jobs - that needs to change

Better comms on the English forums is the 1st challenge for the new NT Manager

Youth training is at an all time low within England - 100% due to the old timers not inspiring the new quality Managers to support the English NT & Youth players

I gotta say - our new NT Manager won't inspire me to get a Youth Team up & running this season

I do find it amusing that you classify wdp as old guard! He's been he a mere 9 months longer than you. Then again so has ermejo!

I stood for 5 seasons as the U21 manager and worked tirelessly to try and ensure our youths continued to be trained and highlighted once they were pulled, I had help the very first season ironically from you....after that I received NO HELP.

Then after this I stood as the Main NT Manager for a further 2 years again I received NO HELP.

I lost the will to do it any longer based on the fact that I always started threads on matches etc but rarely had any input despite asking for it - every week......I include you in that too. Only ever did a few comment, the same few weekly....you were not part of this and yet you complain now.

As I have said in other threads stop bleating and being part of the problem and come up with some thoughtful points on how to cure the problem.
2011-10-25 17:01:03
I think it's a bit harsh for NCFC to put things in the way he did true England do need to change but the people that have been there done still deserve respect failure or not. They have done enough to help England just very tired of putting so much effort trying things and no one takes part. Trust me I managed Nigeria it felt like was talking to myself there. I personally wish I could do more to help England but always felt unworthy and not wanted at the same time
2011-10-25 17:06:48
I always thought you did as good as a job as you could have done with Nigeria. I know from experience managing small NTs can be a bit of a thankless task.
2011-10-25 17:56:59
Managing England was also a thankless task........Ken you have learnt a huge amount and remedied many of the mistakes that a LOT of us made when starting out, especially those younger in age as you were. All users can help the England NT side by participating in the Youth Academies and trying to train English players.......or by just getting more ivoled in the NT whether it be on the threads or by helping scouting etc.

I'm kind of an outsider here but i will say what i think..
:-)

I saw gibbage gave Israel as an example for a strong NT with small number of users (compared to England that have about 5 times more users), the forum in Israel is dead, we still have local managers that train players for the NT, but not like in the past and this was the main reason for Israel becoming a strong NT and this is why in the future it will probably change and the team will be weaker since the community is quite dead, but still many users invest in their junior schools and it's a key..

In the past England NT real power (and also in Scotland) was the local managers training players for the NT and the community behind it, when i started in Israel and in Latvija our model was England and Scotland NT's - training the local potentials at home.
Now ok, not everyone invests in junior school, especialy not after the stupid change they did a while ago, but still decent and talented pulls can become good and strong players (just look at my player Mimer, you wont believe how he looked like when i pulled him..).

The only way to have a strong NT is by having a strong community behind it, after all this is kind of a social game.. so my small suggestion (it's to England and Scotland..;-) is just leave all the BS a side, it really dosn't matter who manage the NT, it's all about working togheter in building the NT by training your own potentials, even if some of them wont be superstars.. come on.. you started with this model..

I'm sure everyone who wants to manage the NT can get his chance someday, it starts by training some players for the NT or U21 and being involved with whats going on in the NT..
(Here it looks like many users wants to manage the NT, in Latvija no one wanted to manage it after me..)
:-O

Old guard = voting relentlessly for the top League Managers

Have a look at the continuous poor performances & results of the old NT Managers - then try & justify their vote’s time & time again

I know, & you know - the NT Managers don't just win NT matches to be successful

2011-10-25 18:25:43
Managing England is a complete honour

Never forget that please
