Subject: why vote for an already failed england manager for a second term

2011-10-25 19:09:58
Last post

As we need to all support the newly voted NT Manager

I just hope next time - the support of Youth of England get's the vote & not the current

Though i see your point, as very valid. I see to many complications with it. For example, i would love to stand for the under 21 role for England, I feel that I could quite happily fit into the role and do as good a job as others have in the past, and put a lot of dedication into it.

However my problem is how am i meant to prove it. There's no real point of people like me standing for the elections as i just wont get the votes, which i can't blame anyone because i wouldn't vote for someone like me when there are players with years more experiences, what have proof of what they can offer.

saying this, I will apply when I feel I'm ready, may that be in 2 seasons time, or 2 years time. not saying that people will vote, but hay.

Just apply for a NT role - Sokker England needs a change for sure

Just look at the facts - it speaks volumes that we need Youth training as the heart of every NT Managers post

The highest or best or top Manager in Sokker - makes very little difference to NT future success

Get real you Div III Managers - & kick out all the old guard next election time

It's time for a complete change - & your vote can make that happen

Why are you so hell-bent on III managers for the job?

I am huge advocate of youth schools and training players from your own nation but as I'm in Prem as part of the old guard(?) you wouldn't vote for me?

You're being a bit silly now, you have some good points in principal, but people have found it extremely hard to get people who don't actively use the forums to get involved.

I don't think I can alter that personally, which is one reason I have not stood.

You are talking trash now...
Believe it will work? Mail all 128 Div. III managers asking their opinion.
2011-10-25 19:34:27
As long as it isn't canvassing for votes by SK mail of course.
2011-10-25 19:39:46
I meant now, not election time. But who realised he started off normal - and turned it into a hate vendetta on managers better than him.

The low turnout is not a surprise to me looking at Sokker in general and I can only see it getting worse until there is more developement. Many managers have gotten bored and quit but many more IMO are just hanging around waiting for things to change. Lurking from time to time on the forums I actually find it amusing that some managers consider themselves somehow a class above mere mortals when for a long time now you cannot compete unless you milk the winger system.

I swore I would never give in and tried to be different but despite often outplaying oponents and creating many chances I lost games purely down to the winger that I have cleverly marked managing to get clear a small amount of times but each time costing a goal. Last season after a few of these games I mounted the bandwagon myself and miraculously won something like the last 8 games, did that make me special too when I am just milking the system?

Anyway back to topic, I feel things will probably get worse until we get change.

about the 'old users vote for established managers'.
Which two users voted for me then? ;)
2011-10-25 20:55:13
@NCFC what if I get into the Prem does that mean am an old guard ? Personally this is the longest I have spent on a thread In at least a year or two. I use to be active through no fault of sokker I got busy either way point is I think forums should be the at least main area of this game and we should somehow encourage. Yay ermejo won yeah as much I am for change it wOrrying to see him winning by 14 votes last time I ran in an election for England NT the winnerr had like 34 votes + and I had at least 25 if memory serves right the decline is almost deadly let alone staggering being serious do not stray from Sharoni's point. Also must add in my time here I think I only produced 3 potential England trainees those that if trained properly they would make it. Finances is killing me because I had to sacrifice them for the sake of the club sold them off knoWing their talent I am a team in div.II with a 20000 bench stadium with at least 2 tO 3 seasons wait depending on sales before I can expand. The season before last was the season I reopened my youth school for the 3 rd time. I wish to help England in producing players but for me it's hard so imagine the new users I think they need us to help them Out even more than we think we have to help newbies.

This thread is actually getting rather funny, you can moan about the 'old guard' all you want, but the fact of the matter is that the english community 'those who could be arsed' voted for who they wanted and its fair enough, cant change it.

We do need more focus on producing youngsters after looking at some of the recent estonian pulls, dear god :)

Since you've been spouting barnacles and coming across very bitter perhaps you'll come back and answer the stuff aimed at you.

After all, to win an election you at least need to be fairly regular in the forums (since most voters are forum users, perhaps you might want a rethink if you ever want to get votes?) otherwise, you need to have a great history behind you, and you don't have that either.

Hopefully you'll realise the error in your ways (not posting much and then coming and doing an NT speech) and continue to stay and post and be a forum regular, make yourself known as help build up a dwindling community spirit.

2011-10-25 22:30:06
i would like to add a few lines to this tread, before you ask, yes i have done some of the below but not all

England needs managers to train english players as much as possible and at times sacrifice their team training plans in order to get those top quality stars

England needs managers to keep their youth schools open and keep pumping youngsters trough

England needs more involvment in the community with users trying to bring in NT potential players in order to train them up

England needs constructive feedback from users

England needs a good tactician and a manager used to play with and againist top players

if we can start working on the above we will have a much better team regardless of whom is in charge

Loving the enthusiasm in this thread.

No one is blocking lower league managers from taking control of the NT, the voting system is democratic, all it takes to win is to get the most votes. Considering that Ermejo only managed a grand total of 14 votes it wouldn't have taken a miracle to summon up enough votes from the 500+ user English community for any random manager to win.

If managers feel strongly enough they know that all they need do is to enourage a small percentage of the divsions III-IV managers to vote for them.

Slow down...ppl...Take that entusiasm and that "wind of change" that you all feel and put it to a good use not in a distructive debate...you want a change? Untill the next elections, start and help the reacently voted managers...give them all the support...do all you can to help...and if they fail after you will have a point of view...lets get things organised and do something except from this moaning on the forum...you want to change...sugest the cange to the new managers, give them your advice...everyone is open to advices in times like this ...off course is his right not to use your advice and then be even more supportive...expalin why you thik is a good ideea give him the facts...make him understand...discuss thouse ideeas on the forums to see other opinions as well...and most of all be productive...not distructive.
When we will do that and the manager will fail...I will support an opinion like the one that started this thread 100%...untill then come with solutions not problems...isnt that better?

I did. Thought you might take us in a different direction (that is not a dig at anyone former, current or future!). I managed to get over the you are not English part, liked your posts and so you got my vote. Does that make me a bad div III manager?
