Subject: Planing your team to help the NT

So...lets say you have just started your team.
IV th league is full of bots, you have crap players, and we all know how finances are when you are at the begining, no fans , small stadium, no money and so on...
How would you plan the future of your team so that you keep your finances alive, try to promote and also train a few potential stars for the U21 or NT? Any tips that could help lower league managers give a helpfull hand for NT and U21?

Don't spend money on stadium or crapy players and have a lot of patience... ask on forums for help and do no investments until you are sure you understand the game and have a medium - long term plan.
patience and persistance, once money builds up a bit, try and buy players with high pace (most important attribute to have in IV.
how valuable in an Unearthly coach with £34000 wage?
because this one, seems to be going for an unreasonable price!

Coach select button to get an unearthly can end up costing more than that.
oh, but no doubt it'll be much more cost effective to have a magical coach then?
Personally I would say forget about stadiums focus on your team itself use that money to get decent coaches for your team but watch the wages. Do a financial plan and make sure you are breaking even every week and dont be silly and buy players you cant afford. Make a training plan stick to it and buy players that can fit into or ever better use your youth school as a source of your players. Use that division to practise your tactics because of bots and dont worry your time will come be patient and learn all you can.
New teams must find ways to make quick money..
I suggest to go with defence training, buy 10 (if you don't have good trainies in your team) cheap 17yr defenders with about adaquate defence, make them pop to good and try to sell them for quick profits, you will also need a manager with unearthly in defence (other skills don't matter) and assistents, i guess around excellent at start.
Don't take a junior coach manager at start, maybe a cheap excellent one, first get balanced financialy, have some juniors in your junior school and only than start to invest in it, incredible manager will be good for junior school at first when you get financialy balanced.
Don't forget that you can sell players you got to get some extra money for this processes, ok, most of them will be worth nothing, but sometimes there are some players that worth some nice money to start with.
So get the young trainies, fill the other players in the squad with some cheap players to just have enough players to play with, don't think about only winning at start, think about making money, than later on you can improve your trainies and your first team.
Now the problem is that most starting managers want to win from the start and think they can win it all with crap players because they don't know the game well enough, so it will be hard for this managers to follow the plan to first make money and only later to start thinking about winning..

I have said it since i've played the game (incidentally it has a direct affect on our NT's), and i will always be an advocate; start up your junior school ASAP!
All new teams can do it, with the right coaching set up it is not too expensive.
Too many people, including experienced managers, put new starters off a junior school. It is absolutely the best way to get a set of your own trainees - talent known - for the cheapest way, and if you are lucky, you might pull a junior that will make you millions. You can't do that without a junior school, and nor can you help the NT either!
If you are new team, or any team without a junior school, i would be more than happy to accept SK mails on how to set one up and manage it in the best way.
You will not regret it.

Don't really agree, I reckon you shouldn't open up the youth school for the first couple of seasons in the game. If I was to start again its certainly what I would do.
This isn't based on a lack of patriotism, but I reckon at the start money is so tight that you should cut out the YA & use the money saved on slightly better trainees, getting better trainees will payoff I reckon.

Hard to argue with your guys' pedigree. I guess it comes down to personal experience; there is no way i would have had the success i had if i didn't have a junior school for the first few seasons.
Didn't say that for the first few seasons, i talked about the start, first season or so.
And you also need to have some players in your junior school before taking a junior coach at all, for the first season excellent trainer is good enough, than from the 2nd season you should be able to at least move to incredible one.. if everything goes as planned..
:-)
No doubt investing in junior school is a key - to the personal team and for the NT, plus, it brings more fun to the game.. (but i wish they would have changed the stupid "unknown" junior talent change to how it was before.. i still belive they did it by mistake and have no idea how to change it back..)

Agree to the last point, i liked the unknown age combo.
I think we should post whenever we notice an Unearthly coach, like Mattius had done earlier in this thread... then, its more likely an English club will get him
Always worth a try. I don't think I could warrant spending millions on one. Yet I'd probably continue to waste the same amount through coach select!
