Thing is when you have the best team in the land, you can only ever be unlucky under normal circumstances right ? :)

Pretty much, however I don't mind being out-done tactically at all.

I struggle a little more when I lose due to multiple injuries / red-cards / loads of missed chances

If your intention was to build my confidence consider it done! If not, this is still the best i've felt after a loss in sokker!
