ok, i have an idea.

let's play 14 weeks and than after let system makes a big draw and decide who is champ and who has a cup.

Maybe it will be a time for me to be a English Champ or let's make a world draw and than my team will become champ of Vietnam or Fiji :)

Well any new managers starting out in the lower divisions will surely be encouraged by the sarcastic comments on this thread that was only intended as a discussion. No wonder people are leaving and England Sokker is on the slide.

If you cannot make any reasonable comments then you should remain silent and remember that a closed mouth gathers no feet.

Cooly is discussing a valid point. Say for example all our prem teams were in div 4. This season they would all still be in div 4 as nobody won their play off.

You could say thats a bit far fetched for an example so lets take your team. Your stats for your last 4 competitive matches were 44.5, 45.1, 44.4 where you were thumped 19-0 in a league match (wow good tactics there) and 40.8.

Cooly`s last 4 were 46.8, 44, 44.4 and 44.6.

All in all I would expect Cooly`s team to have an edge against yours and would expect you both to be in the same division. If you were in Cooly`s div 4. You would not even win the league and being the third best team in that div 4 certainly not win a play off.

Think about that before posting more muppet comments sir.

Unless of course you are under the age of 10 in which case i would suggest that you have a bit of growing up to do before you post in adult discussions.

Maybe you parent or guardian could read them before you post?

heh, my idea was to put a very sarcastic comment as i hate when people start to cry on forum as patience is important in sokker and real life.

My current stats are low but it is because I sold a lot of valuable players just at the end of season, 2 seasons ago as if you want to develop your team you must growth and I could have stats over 60 with >32yo players as I had before but it is no the way so i could also open new forum subject that sokker is not fair because managers that started to play game earlier have easier to play and maybe everyone should get completely new team at the beginning of each season, but everyone knows that sokker is not fair as life is not fair as all of us would have huge playboy mansions and few bugattis in garage.

So if I offended anyone that sorry but let's be men. Instead of crying on forum let's bring victory on the stadium pitch.

Whereas what actually happens is:
"play 14 weeks, but before that let system make a big draw and decide who is champ...". I happen to know this because I auto-promoted last season, with a rubbish team, purely because I was randomly drawn in a Div IV with 7 bots.

Of course, if you don't think the best teams should promote, then that's up to you.

Incidentally, if you're going to use phrases like "man up" and "be a man" (presumably to establish your macho credentials) you probably shouldn't be doing it on the forum of a virtual football game. With imaginary players. You know, on the internet. Indoors.

Well thanks for the apology and its accepted but you still need to reread your post.

The word crying in this context is a bit strong as at no point was any of the posters crying and were stating perfectly valid concerns. Just because nothing can be done easily or at all to deal with this issue does not make it crying.

Finally, lets be men and man up is a bit of an odd thing to say. Perhaps you are young or not of english parents as those sorts of phrases basically mean I should offer you outside and try to beat the sense into you for upsetting me or you and I should spend a lot of time in a pub drinking to settle our issues and then if that falls beat the stuffing out of each other.

Both your phrases and my (and many english peoples) natural reactions to those phrases would be rather odd for a virtual football game.

Anyway, thanks for having the courage to say sorry to the community but the way you say it is also important here.

Although i haven't exactly been contributing in the forums much recently i do try read as many as i can and i must say this thread has bee particularly entertaining.

The original author of this thread made some very good points. (How the promotion system is broken and how easily it could be change to make it more exciting for new users) However his insightful comments are met with rather less insightful ones such as "man up" and "lets be men".

The problem is these changes will never be made, I've been a member of sokker for an number of years and although changes are made it very rarely effects the MAJOR issues in the game. (The youth changes if anything made the game worse).

Anyway, whinge over.

Oh the guy is an idiot. Ive even been getting personal mail off him asking to meet up for fights and for my phone number. Its very sad really.

I think the boys have been in silly mode for too long. I think we have some very valid points here, which are already coming home to roost for me as I have been trying to build a III standard team on only 32k sponsorship a year. Try coaching well enough to have players worth selling on that amount! I have scraped into League III but the trapdoor is wide open. All i can do is prepare for a more successful future team. If i get relegated to the wrong league IV I could be stuck there for years. In each season a team is in league IV they are getting worse attendances and less than half the sponsorship money that they get in league III. No wonder so many promoted teams are instantly relegated, and so many playoff matches are lost.
