The fist big test is against a very good French team this weekend

The fans don't hold out to much hope "Expectations: Your supporters hope the team won`t bring them too much shame in this match"

The fans share my fears 100%

Thanks to some much needed help from some experienced Managers - things are slowly getting into shape - & England will be ready for the match, & I hope we put on a decent performance

The squad is still very thin - so a lot of scouting is now being done, & new/old players will be added to the squad over the next few days

Next week I hope to be able to announce the scouting team in full - & also the plans to start working with the Club Managers to ensure the best English talent is recognised & fully supported

I have some ideas to try & make the identification of potential NT players easier - with a follow up strategy to give quick & reliable data to the Club Manager & allow them to decide if they wish to develop their players to the full NT requirements

I intend to bounce these ideas off other Managers before launching any new scheme

I am still working on some tactics - but have little experience to know if they will be successful or torn apart until the 1st match has been played out

All constructive criticism will be very welcome

Can you please update him into NTDB? And if you have other NT players. His last update is from October last year :(

We have 8 players unavailable for selection v's France

Sadly Haylock is one of them

I am hoping Baddeley - Inns &/or Sear may pass a late fitness test tomorrow. The other 5 players are out through longer term injury or red cards

Two initiatives to launch

1 - Any player that is injured in a NT match - I will send a mail to the Manager letting them know. This will be done as soon as the match finishes, or if it a late/early hours KO I will do it first thing next morning

2 - English Clubs only. Any Manager that wants a key player not to be available for selection due to an important *Cup match or a **crunch relegation/promotion match - please post here & I will not select them

a) This applies to any NT match immediately prior to a crunch Club match (i.e. NT match Saturday it applies to the Sunday League match &/or Wednesday Cup match

b) *Cup matches quarters/semis/finals. **Promo/rele matches suggest from week 10+

If at any time the NT is short of players in a specific position, or it's has a crucial match - I will mail the Manager to request he plays & give the reasons

I wonder if you had thought of number 1 before the election? ;)
