1st English Coach to fail to take the England Team to the World Cup Finals

Sorry about that - but it wasn't through lack of effort or enthusiasm

At the next election - I can only enthuse that the job is great fun & very enjoyable - & I hope we have loads of English Managers having a go

Hey mate!Don't blame yourself so hard - it was a pretty tough group and you came real close to finishing second.There were 4 pretty strong teams competing for those 2 places so your overall performance was definitely not that bad.

next season should be great for another English manager to give it a try as it will be friendly games all season.

Mini World Cup will be well worth entering, as should be some decent sides in it.

and whoever takes over should look at winning it :)

I will also have a go - as I did really enjoy being NT Coach, & would love to do it again with the experience I have gained (but to be real - I probably won't win)

The more NT candidates (& interest) the better for merry ol' England

A huge THANK YOU to everyone that has supported me with the NT - I really enjoyed my time as NT Coach & was very proud to be elected. I certainly learnt a lot from all the matches played at that level, & I hope to put that experience into good use in the future

It certainly is a lotta work to get a team out on the pitch - with all the hopes of every England Club Manager resting on your choices, but it was great fun & I would like to do it again some time in the future

hi everyone, thanks for the votes to make me our new NT manager :) just letting you know my plans for the season really.
i'm happy to keep using this England Newsdesk that NCFC has set up, as i think it's a good idea that people seem to be using frequently to interact with the England team.
i'll be busy over the next few days gathering updates, seeing which players i may want to bring in/out of the squad, and making a tactic for saturdays game.
so i'd really appreciate it if everyone could update their players skills in the NT database by using the link here - NTDB, or by sending me a copy of the skills as it would make the huge task of collecting updates so much easier.

my first game will be against Poland, and although i said i wanted to play teams around our ranking, that we could hopefully beat comfortably in order to improve our ranking, i think it will be a good way for me to judge the squad, and tactics that i put together against one of the best teams in sokker in order to see just where we stand. i'll be hoping for a positive result ahead of the upcoming mini world cup which should start in week 3.

team is up in the association to talk about and see who is playing :) I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted me in. lets make this a season to remember.

i've now sent out mails for updates for all 25+ year olds that i think could be of NT standard. i plan to do the 22-24yo's in a week or two when i have replies for the majority of the older players.

if you have a player you think could play for us, and haven't received a mail for your player, or haven't already updated them in the NT database fairly recently then mail me, as it's possible that i've missed some players due to the amount i'm getting updates on.

we managed a 2-2 draw with Poland this morning, which is a great result for us :D they dominated the match, but we did well, and took our chances when they came.

unfortunately we lost Skeffington early on to injury, and Sear played most of the match with a slight injury. the injury to Skeffington completely messed up my plans for the substitutions, and we ended up with Baddeley, and then Hempsall on the wing. neither have enough pace and tech to play on the wing, and i think if we'd had Skeffington, and then Bradbridge there for the whole game, we would have looked a lot more dangerous upfront.

the mini world cup should start next week, which should add a bit more excitement to the games for this season :)
