Subject: Stepping Down and Selling Up

wdp74 to All
Morning all, for quite a while now I have struggled timewise to complete my role in the game and have lost my enthusiasm for my team entirely. I have been effectively running on auto pilot for a while now and only run with 5 trainees instead of 6. I have had other real life issues to that have caused me to have less time on here.

I have been here 5 years now and its is quite sad to feel this way but parts of this game were changed a while ago now and for me have decreased the joys I had of a Thursday morning update arriving.

Due to this and the fact that I no longer can put my all in I have decided to step down from my role as Admin within Sokker and will be placing my team up for sale this evening.

As to what I shall do after this point - well I am not sure yet. I may slip away quietly or sink down the leagues with some youngsters to try and get back some enjoyment....I fear its too late for that however.

Bad times mate. It's the first time I've actually been gutted someone is doing this, and I hope the real life things are more for the good than the bad.

When I saw the topic I had feared you threw your toys out the pram with your 3 red cards!

All the best with whatever you do.

No I was gutted last night but it was noit a case of the dummy and pram, I lost 8-0 to uber weak Vilpu in the Champs Cup a few days ago too...... its been on the cards for a while!

I might yet stick around and do something but that is by far from certain.

If I do stay it would only really be for the contact with the friends I have made while on here.

As for the real life stuff there was a stage where my wife had health issues but they seem to have passed now, shes just mental anyway I have figured out - then again she is married to me! ;)

You know as well as I do, if I started winning stuff again, you'd force yourself to come back ;)
2012-02-20 09:33:46
I probably would but the likelyhood is more of West Ham winning the Premiership ;)

Try and make a team going forward just from players from your own youth school.

That'll be interesting and reay highlight the flaws in the system now :)

If you are not so sure, sell all players.
Set a lower ticket price.
Get only one trainer (incredible) for youth.

So you squad cost will be low, very low, and you train youth to sell.

In this way few month ago in 4 month without sokker I get 1M euro.

will be a shame to see you go mate, but i cant blame you, we need to reverse the junior school to what it used to be.

I think Mcoi is paying off some Prem clubs to leave, so that he can scrape another season up there.
2012-02-20 11:00:34
They could have al decided this last season! I can't let Mcoi finish 4th or better again because everyone has given up!
2012-02-20 11:11:47
Be a shame if you do decide to go.
The game appears to be haemorrhaging experienced managers at the moment.
2012-02-20 11:51:30
I am still thinking about what to do. I shall be selling my players tonight, of my players the best trainee is Malca.....a superb striker and will become a 3 x Divine Striker without doubt.
2012-02-20 11:53:17
who will i bid against for strikers now :(

sad to see you go mate, wish you the best for the future :)
2012-02-20 11:56:43
haha I have not bid against you for ages anyway which shows exactly what I mean...I just have let my team decay.
2012-02-20 12:04:17
same, my team is full of 30+ year olds that i need to replace...
2012-02-20 12:13:40
Bah, if only he were English, and younger, I'd have bid for him..
