Subject: [nt] The Apprentice
Hadn't considered that, but it may be worthwhile. I'll donate to the special "mr_gibbage charitable trust".
ive got no problem with Linekars stats being known to a potential NT manager, its been a great campaign by Mr G and i for one think its a positive step forward but will be sorry to see him " hang up his tactics board "
2 participants so far. Ideally looking for 1-2 others. 4 will be the most, as I will be taking charge of the U20 and No caps as well as the final game against Italy (hoping to go out in style with that one).
there is an election, this is just a way of allowing people to see who would be best in practice.
i always thought the nt job was a popularity contest not a contest to see who is most tactically astute
ok so youre sayin mr g picks whos best and tells everyone then the elections start?

it is a popularity contest, but i guess this is a way of saying to people that x or y should be more popular because they're good.
as a side note, romania have 2000+ users, more than Italy. They came last in their qualifier group because they had a crap manager.

kind of. we have some friendlies lined up, the apprentices effectively pick the teams and the line-ups, and then everyone can see how well the team do.
Everyone should remember this isn't an Official Sokker thing. It's a mr_gibbage thing.
mr_gibbage is letting other users pick the team and tactics for the next few matches. That way, we as the voting public can actually see how the prospective candidates will do in a real national match, ontop of reading their speeches and checking out their club team tactics.
It's just an extra way of letting the candidates prove themselves.

you say checking out there club team tactics, but theres alot more difference for me anyway between my players and the english nt players, thats why this gives you the oppurtunity to create a tactic for a top class team england
ive had someone ask me if they can play 4 ATT in an international match, whether ive interpreted correctyl or not. id like to know if you can play any sort of line-up, or whether you have to stick to the correct tactics
no you cant or in a club match either
you add one on 442 formation
so you can play 3 strikers
or 5 midfielders etc....

Well you can play what you like. I'm not sure how it would affect training for the players that played though.
they managed to get an answer that the players just wont get the training from the NT matches
you cant because it cancels out training no one gets trains if you play more than 3 strikers
