This is not my current speech, but the one i used last season, please look on the second page, sorry for any confusion.
i'll be 100% honest. I wasn't going to run for the national team job, or the U21 job this season but I have changed my mind today for 3 main reasons.
1. if i'm the u21 manger, i wont need to be a scout for England :)
2. I was the tactical assistant coach for Uzbekistan last season (for the latter games where they actually won some) but wont be next season as the coach has been band.
3. i have agreed to be a scout and PR as well as modify text for a runner for another counties NT election. However looking though the forum i'm doubtful if he will win.
Ok, where to start. I'm still quite new to Sokker only joining in 2010, however i feel that I'm very capable at club management as i'm sure very member in my league will ensure you. I came second this season, even though i feel like i had the 5th best team in the league for the most of it. So my tactics where very defensive minded, however i have swapped and changed them from time to time to good effect.
Though i am running in hopefulness to gain the U21 role, i will still be more than supporting to any other candidates wanting to achieve this status, as i only want what is best for England. My main concern would be not living up to the legacy the previous management has left, as i'm sure we would all agree that he has done a super job and all i can hope for is to continue in the right direction.
my main goal if granted the role would be to encourage all users in England to have a youth school, though i have tried to do this in the past, i'm sure I will have a greater effect with it if elected.
I would be more than thankful to anyone offering to help me with the U21, mostly scouts and people to help with skill updates, however i'm sure i have a list of people with experiences that i can pull in a few favors if no one else is up for the job.
I know i haven't written much, but I'm sure that most of you that will be voting will be a-wear of me in the forum, as i am highly active. However I'm hoping for a lot of questions from the experienced managers, what know what's needed in the role, to the people just starting the game and everyone in between.
please ask questions.

thanks for running ... dont you think that naming ppl and telling them what to train is a good way to get youth players trained? Look at The Keeper Factory [3921]
... do you think would be good if he would also train english keepers?...

i don't think naming individuals is the way to go. However i do believe people should take it upon themselves to help there national NT. If my memory serves me correctly, he has trained English keepers in the past. Don't get me wrong i would be more than delighted if he would help, just as i would be delighted for anybody else saying, the magic words 'I want to help'. however I think it is unfair picking a random name out the hat and saying, 'its up to you'. Anyone can train keepers, just like all the other trainable skills.
So to answer your question i don't think naming people isn't the way to go, I believe the best way forward is to give everybody the same chances to help the NT and let them make up there own minds, with reassurance if they request it. after all, you wouldn't be reading this post if your wasn't interest in the English Elections / NT management.
telling them what to train i will never be a dictator, but i would be more than happy to suggest what i feel is needed for a player that has NT capabilities.

i tried doing this when i started my team but its left me in a debt of -240k and i've had no choice but to close it down. it'll be a long time before i can recover from this debt and its getting worse each week.

looking at your team i'm assuming your training pace? Though you might not want to, it might be worth considering training a skill where you only need 10 trainees, to get you out of debt, as i would never recommend using your debt limit as your spending limit.
For you i would recommend working out how much you make every 2 weeks. (1 home game, one away game) Then find out how much your are currently spending every 2 weeks. This will tell you how much your losing / making each 2 week term. Personally i would say you want to be spending about the same as your making as a new team, as that mean all the profit you make on buying and training players is yours. Thus being able to improve and compete competitively in your league, and higher ones fast.
Though i still stand strong on wanting every user to have a youth school, there are some situations where i would recommend waiting before opening one, this sound like one of those cases. if you would like any help, I would be more than happy for you to sk mail me.

Elections this year seem to be going slower than normal? though i understand that its still quite early on, could i please get a few more questions thrown at me? i see people voting and nothing being said or asked :)
ok, i have composed a very capable team to help with the under 21 side if i was to be elected. however, im still hopping for some english guys to message me as we still hae a few more roles to fill.
My current team is as followed;
Fabbrogas- co-manager
Monty - opponent scout / tactic advice
caddy91 opponent scout / tactic advice
I have confidence in all of my current staff, (and myslef) to try and establish the England under 21 side team in the top 20 rankings by the end of the next season (with a place at the world cup)
i'm still waiting for any questions anyone may have :)
I have worked with them all in the past with other NT teams and out of the dozens i have worked with, these are in my opinion the best :) 2 of them have also helped with the successful Italian team at some point, and were all very excited with the possibility to help with the England role :) but to clarify, they all speak perfect English and I'm still looking for people from England to help as i really want us all to have that nationalistic pride i remember we had.
Daza trying to pull of his best James Bond impersonation?
Daza ... I have this player:
Fahmy Adam , age 19
value: 54 300 £
wage: 705 £
outstanding [12] form
bookings:
weak [4] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
good [7] pace poor [3] defender
hopeless [1] technique adequate [6] playmaker
unsatisfactory [2] passing excellent [10] striker
Considering the low country req from the NT detabase ... I should train his technique:
ATT U21 (U21) - Misr
Primary: Striker (5) / Pace (5) / Technique (5)
Secondary: Defender + Passing + Stamina (5)
but what do you suggest I do with the player if I am not going to train technique in my team in the next 2 seasons? Is it better for his NT if I sell him or if he will stay with me...train pace and def in the next 2 seasons and he misses out on the under 21?

if I'm 100% honest, its not in your interest, or his country's interest for you to train his defender. It will not increase his selling value (might even lower).
if you are planning on training pace first then i would keep him for this, however i would recommend selling him once you have completed the duration of pace training, or he has reached a maximum of outstanding pace. (probably should only get him to formidable for now)

how do you think we'll do in our group for next season? which teams do you think will be tough to beat? and what will your approaches be to the hard, and easy games we will have?
1. France
2. England
3. Israel
4. Zhonggou
5. El Salvador
6. Al-Jaza'ir
7. Tunis

if i'm completely honest i feel like we have got a very nice group, France being the only team that we 'could lose against' but yet i feel could still get a win over, and Israel are one of the weakest teams out of the 3rd pot.
I'm very pleased with the group, and we should have an easy qualification season, and maybe be able to push to win the group :) as it will only take 1 win over France, and some good goal difference on all the other games.

China can be tricky...don't underestimate them. They played a good qualifications, they have a very good winger and a very decent striker.
