Subject: Promotion / relegation leagues

So it's all up - where did you end up?

I am in ii.04 AGAIN!! A few of the old teams but quite a few new uns.

Looks like a monster challenge compared to iii - hoping to avoid relegation.

I got III.1 which is ok...but I have a weak team and will struggle to stay up....hope I get lucky :)

Played there - 1st season should be ok. You have young squad so if you will improve skills that you should be fine with play offs. Almost everyone there stuck at that same level as when i played there so with each next season should be easier.

I got promoted after winning the playoff's decisively. Landed in DIV II.1 which seems to be where ghetto is... Hoping I can claw my way to keep myself here.

Is there any chance - that within the final few weeks of each season 'that a Sokker based promotion/relegation table can be produced'?

Sokker does have a fairly complex way of promotion/relegation - so it would be a real improvement towards the enjoyment of the game imho, if there were a table produced in the last 4 weeks of every season

I think guacamole set up a promotion table for England every monday a few seasons back. I think it can only be done by someone with admin rights? Maybe mr_gibbage, forestman, doughnut_jimmy or some other manager remember how it was done?

Was never done by me. I don't think it was admin rights but someone did make a script that was fairly but not 100% accurate. As to the whereabouts of said script is another matter entirely.

I am suggesting it should be a Sokker H/O generated feature - to update a league of promotion/relegation candidates every season

P/R is fairly complex in Sokker - so it would be good if it were a permanent feature in the Sokker calendar for every Nation in the last 4 weeks

Agree that a few people have run scripts. However despite my supermondo IT skills (a few lines of BASIC, defunct code for Archimedes computers, fortran and C), writing scripts be the work of magicians as far as I know.
