You play against top teams because the ranking points must rise, or england next season will have a very very tough qualifying group

u21 have a friendly vs Macedonia tonight. Senior NT in a World Cup qualifier vs Australia on saturday, Australia have a proven tactical NT coach and we will have to play well to win.

I think a 1-1 draw in the U21 game was fair enough. Both sides had other fairly decent chances too.

Shame about the draw against Australia considering we led twice, but at least it keeps them below us in the table :-)

We can live with that draw, they were every bit as prepared as I thought. They were solid at the back but we created enough to win it, but the game was a even played one and those can be lost as well. France for example fell 2-3 vs Equador.
