I was totally foolish to say i'd be better than you at this job Q , i take it all back, and anyone who has a go MUST go for the job to see how enormous the task is... i have noticed pace counts for untold like he played a Very Good striker with top pace, but i assure you i played the fastest best 11, our keeper made 2 herendous mistakes and he's always been a bit slow bless him.

We are pretty much out of it now and i won't be going for this job anymore, i wish i never went for it, but at least i no there's nothing i could do....

we need 1 of the best tactioners in the game to do anything..

Fwiw, I thought we were unlucky with the goals we conceded today.
Don't give up yet, we've still got time.
Put a run of results together and who knows where it will take us.
Also, it appears that all the teams are pretty much capable of beating one another so that might help us too.

I can't go on with a 37 000 wages for an unearthly coach to produce this crap every season, like i said at the beggining and i am fed up with telling people that if you habve no junior school open you are killing Englands u21's, but noone cares and now nor do i.

on top of that for a 21yo how bad can a player be eg: Warren Simons last season he was excell pm formid passing formid pace nout else weak and poor with average stamina (only last week nothis hailed him man of the match) now he is outstading pace and outstanding passing still excell pm and wouldnt get anywhere near my southend team, and i train u21's permently.

Next week we will loose aswell.

You are a high end II side, so it's realistic that none of the U21 players would make your first team. They'd in most cases be no where near mine.

Whether you want to run a junior squad or not is ultimately up to the individual. I've always had one and would never ditch mine. Would I be in the prem as long as I have been without one? Easy answer to that is no, especially as the spine of my team has always been from my junior squad. As far as I'm aware every prem team produces their own juniors.

That being said, from my team perspective, the more people that ditch their junior squads the better, as it will increase the value of the juniors that I do sell.

Yet even Qstarw think's it's easier than it is :( does he realise we've got worse and worse players now then when he was in charge?

3 or 4 months ago i'd be with you man, certainly a unearthly seems a waste there...

Have you a few nice types in your school then?

Also every junior i've sold in the last 5 months go for next to nothing and they are the best 1's so i cant see any point in what you are saying.. it's just totally stopped whereas 2/3 seasons ago i was getting 3 or 4.

I've got 2 that have got the potential to be U21 quality, I did go through a 10 season lean spell once with no notable players in that whole time. It is luck of the draw though, but pays off with patience.

i wrote a long message here but game keeps going to a black and blue page when i hit any button after being log in for a while...am i the only 1 this is happening to and why?

Jesus...shhh...I get it...our players are getting weaker but we are not the only ones... 2 years ago in the U21 Romania you would never see a formidable or outstanding defender...

All teams are getting weak and our users are decreasing...but I keep point of view...you must do with what you have.

I think that a manager needs to start from a low U21 team not like me and Mansid did. Then you have a different view of the things at hands.
2014-12-14 19:33:29
Ok maybe you are right i am trying to think of my team about 2/3 years ago and then maybe i would have had a couple of these in my team but not so much the 21yo's.

I must stay hopeful, optimistic & loyal to England and maybe i will have another Workman or a Vale again one day, and it was only a little while back i pulled 1 lesser skill Butler :D

We need more English users, anyone got any ideas to pull in some bod's.
2014-12-14 19:59:51
Oh no Blackshaw our quick forward been arguebly our best player out for 29 days
2014-12-17 11:18:53
Clearly England is lacking in quality young players - with Junior schools & a lack of enthusiasm at the heart of our problems

That needs to be addressed if we want to keep high expectations for the England U21 squad

I have started my new J/S - & I will be looking to get involved with the England U21's in the future

We are in a poor situation atm - but I don't see Qstarw, or an immediate change of U21 Manager as the answer to our problems

Qstarw had a good long go with the U21's & failed - so no confidence with him again taking over

Give qstar his dues. He did a pretty solid job for the first two seasons. Just a bit more disappointing when going for a second qualification.

Thx...gibby...just so you guys know...I am Ok where I am ...I have a job at Canada U21 and do not want to quit it very soon so do not worry about me coming for the job again :)

The only way I will get involved in the U21 is with having a youth school...mostly for me to be honest.

Apart from Adshead (having to play him instead of simons because of formation will hope Metterson pop's in pace so i don't have too) i thought we played really well , best i can remember seeing for ages.. with absolutly no luck again, and the opponent gets the luck again :( when is it our turn i wonder? not enough chances bare in mind many many of there chances were well wide but they are the best team in the group...

I no for sure i have a 19yo striker as fast as pullen and 1 pace skill slower than cunliffe, and i'm sure Qstarw won't let his summerfield be slow either , thats the only reason we didnt get anything oh and there lucky penalty our not penalty and pullen's peach hitting the post...

Cunliffe & Blackshaw out now (our best 2 strikers) so i figure another loss next as they beat todays opponents, and we have bad strikers now :( maybe pullen on his own up front and hope for a 1-0 or 0-0 there wont be anything else on...

Keep at it, you'll get there eventually. We just need to go on a winning run and that will take us back into contention. Given a fair crack of the (luck) whip would certainly help our chances too and that will turn at some point so not all lost yet :-)
