With only 1 game to go, I am currently down to play Squirrels and Nuts in order to get to Level 3. I really hope that doesn't change (assuming I don't lose my last game) as they currently only have 6 players and thus that would mean effectively automatic promotion as even we can't lose when handed with a walkover! :-)

Got to make sure that we don't lose our last game first though ...

lol ...If squirrels owner logs in ...you will loose that match...but I think he quieted so you are in luck...however promoting when you are not ready means automatic bounce next season and that is not pretty ...that league that you aim for is very tough :)

Talking about that league...seems like daza is not going to promote so...its even tougher as next year he will ram the league for automatic promotion :)

Unless it is as hard as you say it is and he wants to relegate out of there in order to promote back into an easier L3 division.

I think the opinion here differs greatly. Certainly when I was in III and IV, if you really did promote far too early, you actually continue to gain fans, and money from sponsors and the experience makes it worth it in my opinion.

Just 3 points separate 4 teams in the Prem from 3rd to 6th.

On the final game of the season, 1st v 2nd, 3rd v 4th, 5th v 6th and 7th v 8th.

There are various permutations for who will fill the relegation spots, but let's look at the ones that get mr_gibbage relegated:

• a defeat to me.
• a draw if JPK's AFC Bramford Lane avoids defeat to herbman's Herbs.

A win by 2+ goals against me will guarantee him safety regardless of other results.

Interestingly, if Mcoi beats me by a single goal and JPK does the same against Herbs, they will both finish with the following record;

Team Matches Wins Draws Losses Goals GD Points
Herbs 13 6 2 6 27-34 -7 20
Mcoi 13 6 2 6 27-34 -7 20

Unfortunately, this means Mcoi will still stay up, down to the final rule on placings;

- points
- goal difference
- number of goals for
- the number of victories
- position in the league at the end of last season 3rd against 6th

Well it doesn't matter as I now have a different qualifier opponent it would seem :-( They also appear to be the favourites for the match too. So fingers crossed I can pull off a bit of a shock in my qualifier otherwise I'm back to bot bashing next season. At least I can tell people how great a coach I am with winning 5-0+ every week, I just won't tell them who I am playing ... lol ... ;-)

Lol you are coming in my league :))... let me tell you a bit about GIK...not on the forum but you can message me ... I am sure you can get a good result there...good luck and hope to be colleagues next season.

I have my 4th qualifier in 4 seasons on Sunday. Looking at my opponents ratings I have my work cut out (again) but you never quite know in a one off game and with a bit of luck we might just make it. I don't want to contemplate losing as that would mean another season of bot bashing but at least I would be getting another season of training into them.
