I feel "dirty", as I only have 3 English players in my squad of 21 and that's only because I have just bought one too!
I am going to try and predominately sign English players from now on but I'll also have to sign one or two foreign players as well through necessity.

From about 2008 till 2011 I only had British players, but now anyone...just 6 atm
It definately gets more difficult to keep English as you progress and the level of player needed to make it as a trainee rises.
I once had most of my team filled with my own English talent. Sadly now that number sits at 5, with 4 of those fairly new.
I am still contemplating a serious shuffle of sorts, just nothing has taken my fancy as I want to try something nobody has tried.

Which is kind of what I thought so if I want English players I need to add them now...
shame you couldn't continue with only having British players. We kind of need the top teams in England having their top players being English. If they are not English the English NT has no chance imo or at least it makes things a lot harder for them.
I try to by English when I see the on the transfers list, but that doesn't seem to be very often for the quality I'm looking for, but I will still by a player with worse skills if they are English than someone else who is better, often for the same price :(
I have 7 Englishmen out of 13 players. But even I am a starter, I already opened the youth school in order to generate more English players ;)
14 English players for me - all from my junior squad too.
Looking at your squad, how many of those 14 are starters for you though?
22 out of 22 English players for me - 17 from my youth squad.
Indeed. It's very impressive. Kipper too got a very strong squad together of all English players before he quit i believe.
I have 8, but I rarely have any in my first team anymore :(
3 will always start. Then there are 2 players that contends for two spots in the defence with one non English player. 2 of my reserves (not near first team standard yet) are U21 potentials.
i have 13 english players. 7 of them are my striker trainees. 4 are full NT players that play most weeks, 1 is ex-u21 who should eventually play for the NT and 2 are youngsters who will hopefully play for the u21's in a couple seasons :)
