Subject: League matches 03/03

My team are currently being sunk quicker than the titanic in their race for L3 survival :-(

And there's no let up as I'm playing Gospel the team that beat me 3-0 last week again this week (especially as I was probably a touch fortunate it was only 3, ok, we missed a pen but still). You might ask, am I getting down over the constant losing? Tbh, I won't lie, I am a little.

But we soldier on, just hoping that something will spark us into action and get us some much needed points to get us out of this mess we find ourselves in. Our season has to start now as we only have 7 games to save ourselves from the almost certain drop ...

this round you have a better chance as one of my mids is suspended for the match and also a main CD is off with a slight injury and I wont risk him.
The bad news is that a new tactic is coming up :)

I have Herbs. He in theory should have one eye on the cup final rather than worry about facing my team.

Oh joy, new tactic ... I've just seen the newspaper headline ... "Gospel, not happy with the 3 goals from the last game, aiming to make it 13 instead" :-(

Lucky to lose 1-0 last week. Expect to lose by a greater number this week. Some 10 points in average marks between Phil and myself, need I say more.

Oh well, lost again, this time 2-1, but much more encouraging. The players I brought in seem to have helped no end and the first time my ratings have ever been above 40 too.

I think you lost because you had your strikers playing with MID orders... why? :/

Well, they were because I was trying something out but I'm not convinced that's the only reason I lost that game.

Was coasting until the injury and 2 midfield red cards. Bit fortunate to hang onto that one - puts me in a bit of a position next week though against doughnut.

If you dont believe you can ask others... The strikers wont be good at finishing with MID orders as they would be with ATT orders,,, they will take more shots etc etc

I'm not saying I don't believe, I'm just saying I don't believe that was the only reason I lost the game.

Maybe it was, but at least I think I now have finally something I can work with, with going forward. I can't expect to get everything perfect first time.

After that tough match I am finally first in my league and trying to keep it that way...I want a qualifying match :)

Matches get progressively tougher now over the coming weeks, aim is to come top and promote to the Prem, however many banana-skins exist on the way...
