righ, i just going to give everyone a little insight on what im planning. i done a little scouting on irelands last few games and i notice he doesen't use wingers or if he does they don't play outwide. so i have picked what i seem to believe are the quickest wingers in england to bring his defenders to those wingers while there running then his defense will be cut open for a pass to the 3 strikers. then theres 3 strikers to pass to which should be able to score a few goals. then i covered the fact of a counter attack so i have got a defender back pretty much all the time and the other defenders won't be far away either. i am also using DM instead of center mids to control the midfield with the DM i think will be able to control the defense while the wingers are in control of setting up the goals.
maybe be a friendly to him but not to me :)
cheers for reading

Make sure you set the tactics so your wingers can receive the ball and break from throw-ins, that really helps.
final score 3-1 to england pretty chuffed with that result. :)
we dominated on possesion. but the lack of goals i think came because of irelands tight defence. the problem with my side of the tactics came from the defense if i was playing a better a team they would of scored loads past them. but all in all i think the team done well. with the good deliveries from hulka in the second half to bevan were perfect but there keeper done well to keep them out. bevan has got my man of the match because of the cracker of a goal he scored to put us up 2-1. when they equalised i was getting a bit worried, but the players played well.
i have learn't alot from this game and i hope you vote me in for england manager next season
thanks dale

56 for Bridge was good. Anyway, my general feedback and thoughts.
On the tactic
1) The defence was horrible to be fair. It was far too spread out, and essentially Henchoz and Education were out of position most of the time, and when that happens you get more cards, which for defenders of their abilities should be v rare.
The goal Ireland scored was as a direct result of Corey Bridge not being in line with the other two. Had he been, their striker would have been offside.
2) Strikers were too far back, it's a hard thing to judge though. Although they were brought too far back when the ball was in our half.
3) Corner positions were pretty good. However, there was no cover for throw ins. If you look at my game against Pboranjing (that ended 4-3), pulling a player out to receive a throw in can lead to good goals.
4) It wasn't really changed enough from the default 352 tactic. It's a lot better to start from fresh than edit one of the default ones.
Personnel
- Mostly good. I would have gone in favour of more attacking midfielders though than Simpson and Johns (ie more tech, or more passing/pm.
- MacKelloch is not really England quality in my book, his tech isn't up to international level (I know he was on the subs bench, but it is worth mentioning).

yeah i agree the defense was teribble, but i didn't notice anything wrong with the strikers i will have another look. but that game helped my tactic building
was kinda interesting watching a 1 man defense... wish i could have played against that lineup...would have be 6 of the best all over again ;)
Pah. That game should be deleted from the SK servers, clearly a bug.
