Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

I would say about right. In a few weeks he will be 21, so if he is talented he might make a good striker by the time he is 23, if he has little talent it may take him until he is 25. But I do like strikers with some def skill, he may turn out to be a gem.

Kristof Adam, age: 27
value: 186 900 £, wage: 1 485 £
club: AFC Bramford Lane, country: Slovenija
divine form, poor tactical discipline

formidable stamina, tragic keeper
very good pace, very good defender
very good technique, solid playmaker
unsatisfactory passing, very good striker

£306k, will be a reserve striker, may even push for a first team spot for next season if my other strikers form takes a nosedive. He could also play as an emergency defender if I need him to, any thoughts?

What are you going to use him as?
2007-09-17 22:40:18
He will be a MID I would guess after passing training.
2007-09-17 22:41:22
I would have thought he would be a better money maker as a striker?
2007-09-18 10:48:08
going to use him as a mid... have loads of players that need passing training...so may stick to it till the end of next season
2007-09-18 11:06:03
You are obviously more experienced than me but how long is it going to take from tragic passing to a decent level?
2007-09-18 11:39:31
If a player is young / ok talent, and you assume 3.5 weeks per pop, then 4 pops per season. Maybe 5 or 6 pops per season from tragic.

If a player is older, maybe 4.5 weeks per pop ? So 3 or 4 pops per season.

On that basis, I'd say 2 seasons from tragic to say, very good / excellent.

Does that seem reasonable ?

Yes, but remember that the lower levels (between tragic - adequate) can train faster. It could be as quick as 1 pop per week for the first few levels, but usually 1 week faster than normal if you are lucky enough to get a player who does that.

On that basis is the guy above a bargain at 150k though, I wouldn't know as I haven't bought or sold enough players yet.

hopeless stamina, tragic keeper

Got him for a £1, he'll play the odd game and get stamina, technique and pace training, no idea of talent however.
