Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide
Cordt Strandby, age: 21
value: 77 550 £, wage: 825 £
club: World AllStars XI, country: Danmark
divine form, tragic tactical discipline
weak stamina, hopeless keeper
average pace, good defender
very good technique, unsatisfactory playmaker
hopeless passing, very good striker
cost me 151k. Probably overpriced (especially at this time of season) but with the next 3 seasons consisting of pace, passing and striker training then he could turn out nice.

I think you paid a pretty normalish price for him, but he will make you a nice profit/be a useful player.
yeh i'm not sure whether he will be a starting striker for me atm because his pace isn't good enough yet but by blowing 151k i cant afford any more trainees and i'm one spot short. DOH! and the player i was hoping to sell to get me out of this pickle has (suprise, suprise) rejected the chance to go on the transfer list!
i sold a triple excellent 25 yr old for 800k so if you get him there he will sell close to a mil, so i say bargain
Why are you doing passing training when it appears that you are a striker trainer. You do know that this isnt like HT, passing doesnt really help strikers at all. You would be better by doing a season of tech instead.
well I train mids and strikers which is why i'm doing passing training soon. I did playmaking training last season for the benefit of my midfielders and tech the season before for my strikers benefit. I am aware that tech and pace are the most important secondaries for strikers and defending can help a little too.
Most managers train either mids or strikers, not both. Why do you do this? I am not saying it is wrong, I am just interested really. Personally I cant see how it is possible to have trainees for both training regimes without the other set losing out whilst the other one trains, seems silly to me.
You could train mids for some time in passing and pm. Then sell a couple and get in some striker trainees and switch to tech. Get the tech high, switch to pace for everyone. You then have some allround mids, and some fast technical strikers. Next step is switch to striker and train your strikers up. Done right, that's a long term plan, but one that would leave you with 4 quality mids and 6 developing forwards. Ideal for a 4-3-3 of some description.
That's my take on training mids/atts.

Guess so, but it still seems like too much hard work for me!! And especially seeing as that 2 of the strikers he played in the last game were both over 24!! Doesnt seem too long term to me..............

I'm having an experiment in creating a rounded striker.
Around incredible striking, eventually he will have passing and PM higher.
The plan is that he will be a lovely offensive winger, this years GE changes may help.
Also strikers often end up out on the wing and need to pass - normal wingers always mess this up, played as a wide ATT, mine won't.
Thirdly he'll possibly make an awesome offensive mid.
Anyway I'm sure he'll have uses, but will it be enough to beat having the treble magical striker I could have in the same time?

No, Western will have some striking but mainly he is a going to stay a MID. I want to get him to 7 stars, some PM training may help
