Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

Very few players are that good at that age, are they ? I had a similar player last season, paid 2.5 million for him, sold him later for 2.7 million (I needed more than 1 decent defender), so I'd say that's about right.

With pace training, he might be worth 3 million, but probably not that much more.

I hoped he'd go for a bit more than that so I could have a better idea as to the value of a similar player I have in my side!

Well, I will train him to divine pace before selling. With some luck I may get a random pop on most of the other skills in that time.

I reckon I should then be able to sell him for over 4 million.

Anyone else have any views on this? I know its quite hard to say as its rare we get involved in the top end of the market.

I don't think I've seen a defender sell for more than 3. Improving his mid skills is more likely to improve his value than improving his pace I reckon. That said, if you get an offer...

There was a player who sold for 3.2 million earlier today, he was age 22 so a year younger.

Defending was the same, pace was incredible rather than brilliant.

His secondaries were a tad lower. I think PM+Passing+Tech was 21, rather than the 23 on the player I bought.

Oh, also there was a 21 year old I was tracking who sold for 3.8 million!

He was formidable pace, divine defender. His PM+Passing+Tech added to 20 I believe.

well, at 23, your man isn't going to reach those prices. They tend to level off at the peak of 23 I find.

I do feel that at divine pace and perhaps unearthly defender I should be able to sell for a high price. Thats better than most NT defenders.

I'd agree. But he might be 25 by then, they get more difficult to sell by then, I'd be tempted just to use him until he retires.

There would be no point, I only train pace!

I have 28 weeks of training before he turns 25, perhaps 30 if I don't just train stamina in the off-season. With some luck I may be able to get him to divine pace while he is still 24.

If that happens, with inflation, you will make money.

Its weird how the fact my guy is Polish should hurt his value!
