Ahh, I'm sure his tech will annoy me. Still, I will have to cope, he is certainly a very decent defender for the money, and will be trained into something very special.

With any luck he will be talented and manage to random in tech pretty quick.

£1.93m, striker prices are far too high if you ask me!! He is +3 in pace according to his previous owner. And at least he is young so will be with me for a fair few seasons yet. What do you guys think?

Depends, if I promote to the premiership I would be lucky to have any defender who makes the opposition strikers look shite.

As for your striker, my instinct is to say that was a touch on the expensive side. Then again, I don't know the strikers market, tend to avoid it as I always feel I am being ripped off!!

Just as a guess I would say that you have at least what 3 or 4 of the Premiership teams have in their defence, if not better. Only teams like St Albans, Slackers and Mcoi would have better I would have thought.

Forestman has a better defence I believe. His lowest defender skill is magical apparently!!

I'd also argue that the teams in II.01 have strikers that are close to if not better than the strikers in the Premiership. What the Premiership teams tend to have is strength in depth.

Well I'm lucky in that there are not many teams in II.04 with really great strikers.

If I was to generalize I would say that in our league the main strength is that we have generally very strong defenses.

I blame myself for buying Marlet. Now everyone thinks they should have tech + pace + striker = 40.

Mine is 39, just short of the magical 40!

If you can get your striker to score against strong defences, it's because you've had to improve your understanding of tactics. It's more difficult to storm a castle with a bow and arrow than with a siege engine, it's to your advantage if you know how to storm a castle with a bow and arrow.
