Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

2007-12-23 10:41:21
I think its about the right price
2007-12-23 16:23:21
robbed
2007-12-25 18:12:56
am training pace this season and the next. I bought him for £32k

Edmundo Ivo Mata, age: 20
value: 31 950 £, wage: 555 £
club: Legends UTD FC, country: Brasil
weak form, hopeless tactical discipline

adequate stamina, tragic keeper
weak pace, unsatisfactory defender
solid technique, hopeless playmaker
unsatisfactory passing, solid striker

bargain or robbed
2007-12-25 18:35:07
not bad
2007-12-25 19:41:55
Good buy train him up and he will be a nice little player for you
2007-12-25 21:46:22
Cost 700k, B or R?!

Lionel Coene, age: 17
value: 64 200 £, wage: 660 £
club: Phils_hotspurs, country: België
excellent form, tragic tactical discipline

unsatisfactory stamina, hopeless keeper
tragic pace, solid defender
very good technique, adequate playmaker
solid passing, poor striker
2007-12-25 22:44:51
decent pace trainee shame about the price
2007-12-25 23:06:49
Well, for the best pace trainees you just simply have to pay a premium I'm afraid.

Take the player Bigbak sold for 2.5 million recently, with some luck with random pops my player could be equally as good in a season, and then thats 1+ million profit in just one season of pace training.
2007-12-25 23:07:11
I was thinking about putting a bit on him myself, bargain I would say. Instead, spent just over a million on:

Ellák Szakácsi, age: 20
value: 150 000 £, wage: 1 200 £
club: Mcoi, country: Magyarország
incredible form, poor tactical discipline
bookings:

very good stamina, tragic keeper
excellent pace, formidable defender
solid technique, very good playmaker
poor passing, poor striker
2007-12-25 23:08:47
trying to get the average age down?
2007-12-25 23:09:42
Thats an interesting buy. He is certainly a better player now, but has less training potential than a younger player.

Are you concerned that you don't want to lower the standard of your reserves too much?
2007-12-25 23:12:08
On the topic of average age, I just noted my average age is now only 20.08, getting nearer being under 20 again!
2007-12-25 23:14:38
It's all a balancing act. Get players who aren't useless for the cup but are also leaving plenty of room for training improvements. Strength in depth can be key to the league and cup.
2007-12-25 23:14:54
Definitely. Still not finished the whole process yet though.
2007-12-25 23:15:07
We both seem to be on 20.2 on the current stats list

My average is distorted by the 10 filler 17 year olds I recently bought and is not reflective of the general age of my team really
2007-12-25 23:15:39
not bragging here but 19.5 average age
