But the guy you have just listed has better pm,passing and pace!
He may be two years older but he is a better player!!! I would say at least 3 seasons worth of secondary training better, so therefore he is worth more than they guy you bought. But thats just my opinion of course......
i know he's worth more but makes me think I could get my money back in a few seasons if needed and therefore less bad

I was going to buy a def / mid trainee, to provide cover for my first team. Then I figured, well I'm not going to win anything this season, so I may aswell get a forward trainee in. I suppose if anyone gets injured, I can always play 3-4-3...

bargain, obviously depends on what you are training and what his talent is.
i bought exact player with 20yo and 3.5w talent in school for 1.5m

I've now moved onto technique, after getting fed up waiting for one player in particular to pop to formidable defender. It's weird, he'd pop like a mad thing in pace, but he's as slow as anything on defender. And my head coach is unearthly in both.
how many weeks has it taken? I'd suggest you train pace as well if you want to make any money off this guy
I agree pace would make a big difference, plus it would improve the rest of the trainees you have too.
yep, probably a couple of pops, and then onto pace. his public notes suggest he's close to pops in all three, if the guy is true to his word then I could be lucky before he's 22 and get pops in all 3 skills.
3X out 22yr old would sell for 2mil i'd expect
