i don't like the values of defenders lately! i think you picked that one up cheap. You really have to put a lot of work in to them before you reap the rewards!
It doesn't feel to bad though as both players can play first XI if needed, with so many trainees I just feel that there is always someone progressing well in any given week. I don't need to focus on just one or two top trainees who I rely on.
To be fair thats why I really don't often try and give valuations either.
One day hopefully I will have money and be able to gauge values a lot better than now. ;)

valuations are easy just keep an eye on the tl, judge when they bought him and his previous skills! and use your common sense :)
no i didn't mean you in general! i just mean defenders in general! i consider them the most important role of the team yet i never really have owned decent ones!
Me either my defence is shocking, my rule is simple "Hope my strikers outscore the other team!".
That works fine until you get to the higher divisions, in div II you will find that the opposition strikers will generally be able to rip you apart unless you have a half decent defence.
thats been mine ever since i joined, but hopefully know going to set out my team like phill fox!going to take a long while but his team is rounded no weakness really!

I have never had money to spend, my top transfer outlay is 100k. I am hoping to upgrade defence soon but it may take me a while yet as I am training very much for the longer term. ;)
I know I will get shredded in II but I am ok with that as I feel I have no right being there if I do achieve it. ;)
