Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

2006-12-16 21:22:45
i didnt say it was a bargain, i said it was a good buy, that doesnt mean money wise
2006-12-16 21:25:42
oh good. well that's a relief.

To be honest NCN, I think you have had a good day! You must have learnt something from that truly accurate English performance, you got to upset Gibby and you blew your cash!

Sounds like a great day so far. Crash your car into your house tomorrow and it will round off your weekend perfectly! ;-)

Anyway, I think there was loads to learn from the England game if you need a hand, just holler!

I'm planning to be rather badly thrashed by Woppa tommorow, and to crash my car into my house I'd either have to go through the front garden wall, or 60 foot of back garden. But I'll see what I can do.

Mattia Specogna, age: 21
value: 81 150 £, wage: 1 215 £
club: Wake FC, country: Italia
weak form, poor tactical discipline
bookings:

average stamina, tragic keeper
weak pace, adequate defender
outstanding technique, solid playmaker
solid passing, tragic striker

525k

tech can't be high enough in my book but i still think i overpaid a little..considering his age
2006-12-17 15:15:00
maybe a bit, if you get his pace upto at least good he will be a 40 avg winger
2006-12-17 23:36:05
Blimey! He's very good - Premiership quality easily.

I bought a II quality striker for last seasons' III campaign, maybe* the same trick will work again ?

*that's a big maybe

Bought for 145k:

Jan Kotorowski, age: 24
value: 45 450 £, wage: 720 £
club: Phils_hotspurs, country: Polska
adequate form, tragic tactical discipline

hopeless stamina, hopeless keeper
solid pace, tragic defender
very good technique, hopeless playmaker
unsatisfactory passing, solid striker
2006-12-26 22:52:38
About right if he had decent stamina. A bit overpriced as it is.
2006-12-26 22:53:56
So his lack of secondaries make him a bit over-priced??
2006-12-26 22:56:30
I think so yes. The lack of defender/pm/passing isn't so bad but stamina is important and he'll only be able to play half a game properly.
2006-12-26 22:59:42
True, but I will keep him for a couple of seasons, then prob sell when he is 26.

By that point, he will have +5 stamina and hopefully will have random popped in a fair few of the main skills. I should think that I could sell him for a bit more at that point.
2006-12-26 23:01:41
With a random pop in the main skills and +5 in stamina I reckon you're looking at £400k+ so it might be a good buy.
2006-12-26 23:04:56
Well, I was thinking long-term, and all the three main skills of pace, tach and striking are pretty high, so any randoms will make him look pretty good.

By the way, does anyone know how long a player needs to play to get random training? Is it a case like the main training where you get up to 100% random training from having more game time, or will you get 100% random training from just playing a cople of minutes in the weeks matches???
2006-12-26 23:07:09
I think 1 week of normal training is equivalent to around 8-10 weeks of random training. I think it works the same as normal training in terms of time played.
