Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

2008-03-11 19:46:24
look what the_goat is buying, no way his guy is worth 3mil more than mine.

no its about right! might go for more as he is still only 24

but i don't think you are robbed on the player you have bought! like you say if thats what you need then you have to pay it! as simple as that. Your mids are good so will get on to plenty through balls with ease
2008-03-11 19:46:55
oh well i got a player who I think is good and should make my team better. It is what I was willing to spend so I don't mind
2008-03-11 19:48:00
Vilpu the master valuator valuated him at 5M euro.

vilpu is good but not always right! every player he has valuated for me in the past has gone for more :P and he is sly! if you noticed on players he is unsure about he gives himself a bit of a gap between prices :P

also the market is going nuts at the moment
2008-03-11 19:49:20
i think you have made a bargain because i just saw roughly the same skilled player sold for 5 million, good bargain
2008-03-11 19:51:38
Vilpu is no-where near as good at valuating top end players as I once thought. On several recent top end youth sales he has been way off.

For example the NT potential winger Fred Ditchburn, valued around 1.25-1.75 million by Vilpu, sells for 3!

damn right i am the master valuator :P

pretty much dead on price with a player diamond sharks sold recently the double magical winger

He has to or there would be so many people crying and it is only his opinion, however informed. The problem is so many expect Vilpu's valuation as an opening bid! All the players I've sold for big prices have start low, it generates interest.

And yes the market is crazy at the moment. Lots of manages have players they'll make very little profit on.

I think Vilpu's valuation was fairly close, its people willingness to shell out lots of money that can never be accounted for. 3.2 million for your player was insane.

I wasn't talking about my player, was talking about Lardyfatboys player Fred Ditchburn.

I didn't bother getting Bikus valuated, I knew how much I wanted for him and that I had a good opening bid lined up that I was happy with.
2008-03-11 19:56:55
valuating players is easy all you need is 4 category's! under 1mill 1-2mill 3-4mill and the uber players 4mill+ which then usualy go for 4 549 999 and the next price 5 049 999 is popular! then you go straight to 7 499 999

ok erm my last expensive signing as i only have 28k in my bank account. This guy forced me to spend 31k:

Gildo Quacchero, age: 19
value: 38 550 £, wage: 555 £
club: AFC Denton Sharks, country: Italia
outstanding form, tragic tactical discipline

tragic stamina, hopeless keeper
unsatisfactory pace, adequate defender
weak technique, poor playmaker
average passing, very good striker

bargain or robbed
2008-03-11 21:03:24
Well, I guess the question is how robbed, because I doubt its much of a bargain!!??

He is a new pace trainee, from his value and similar players I have a gut feeling he may be near some random pops, may be wrong though!

5 333 336 $

Sergiusz Orpiszewski, age: 21
value: 345 900 £, wage: 3 405 £
club: MerItuM, country: Polska
unearthly form, formidable tactical discipline
bookings:

formidable stamina, poor keeper
formidable pace, excellent defender
incredible technique, adequate playmaker
good passing, formidable striker
2008-03-11 21:47:54
aint you training pace? but anyway bargain because of his age
2008-03-11 21:50:18
Hes only 21 so I assume he will be trying to increase his pace. ;)

The odds for guessing the correct transfers prices in Sokker are almost as good as winning jackpot in some lottery.

Ye, I wasn't meaning to be harsh, just suggesting that your valuation isn't always going to be what a player is worth / will sell for.
