New attacking mid trainee!?

What does that mean exactly, that you will be training striker!?
2008-03-16 19:12:51
he will get a little bit of stamina this season! and the rest tech. then striking then pace

hopefully a random on everything what im not training to :)
2008-03-16 19:13:36
if training passing it might be a reasonable deal
2008-03-16 19:17:16
doesnt seem like a attacking mid to me...

more like a central mid :P (with more passing)
2008-03-16 19:19:25
I suppose general crosses don't need that much passing so he might make a useful wide striker/winger thing
2008-03-16 19:23:09
aye i have noticed if attacking mids have alright playmaking then from a free throw they always aim it at someone in the box.
2008-03-16 19:26:52
Well, I would have to say that you shouldn't be considering training him in striker at all!!

If you do that then you have wasted your money I would say as he just isn't suited to that training regime and you could have found a better option for the money.
2008-03-16 19:30:11
you could have found a better option for the money.

try that option in the transfer market you have no chance!

i had 7 possible buy's on observe but all went for 1.5-2.5mill and im not looking to spend that much at all.

buy the end of next season he should look something like this hopefully a tad bit better!

Juan Domingo Domoraud, age: 23
value: 179 700 £, wage: 1 665 £
club: Enjoi FC, country: España
brilliant form, average tactical discipline
bookings:

formidable stamina, tragic keeper
incredible pace, solid defender
outstanding technique, formidable playmaker
good passing, solid striker
2008-03-16 19:32:08
mate if you aint training passing then you were robbed. Sorry
2008-03-16 19:33:47
you don't have a clue how the me works have you?

attacking mids don't need much passing! only playmaking
2008-03-16 19:35:34
For a player of that age you are being VERY optomistic with his future skills at around age 24/25.

Anyway, good luck to you, you could maybe get lucky with him I guess.
2008-03-16 19:36:42
Oh, and AM's do need passing, its just a case that PM/Tech is perhaps more important than normal midfielders as they have less time on the ball.
2008-03-16 19:39:34
I have to agree that training striker is a waste of one of those valuable 6 spots - solid isn't going to be much help, either for resale or for goals compared to training a purer striker

And I disagree with the PM only idea too - an accurate pass needs both, especially if you want a cross to result in a headed goal or a really accurate through pass.

At a lower level he might be alright as just kicking the ball into the box will get goals from the resulting scramble, but it's far from ideal

i actually do know what ATT mids need but my comment was made because of his age. If he was younger I wonuldnt have made the comment. He is 23 with formidable playmaker and good passing if his passing is improved, you can get your money back and more. When I saw him, my thought was, he was a good passing trainee. I didnt know he was bought to train on finishing, I still think you have been robbed.
2008-03-16 19:42:21
i didn't mean they don't need it!

but i have been using attacking mids for ages now and none of them have evr had passing. I always seem to do ok. It would be nice for my am's to have passing but they don't come cheap :( so i buy what will be useful and what i can afford.

VERY optomistic with his future skills

should be possible as he will be in the center of training. my coaches are pretty decent aswell. Also his owner said he has not yet popped in playmaking or pace.
