Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

2008-04-12 18:23:05
Robbed yep, you have been robbed sorry.
2008-04-12 18:25:15
am well gutted with that was expect minimum 2mil probably 2.2 at a push. Am extremely pissed off and my gf can't see why I am so sad
2008-04-12 18:28:03
3mil he should have went for. Compared to your new signing he should have went for 3 mil for sure. Unlucky mate!!

Sit her down and run through the situation in the transfer market as you see it; explain that the player had even been trained up a few sublevels and was still young enough to keep training. She'll soon understand.

I suspect Kipper's blood pressure rises every time you post Ken.
2008-04-12 18:33:53
cheers jim she is laughing but says she will doubt it, but its ok cos she is playing Mario at the olympics and looks like a parkinson sufferer on crack.

Anyway @ Ken: that is completely unrealistic he was not worth 3mil but am looking forward to you in a few years when you have some cash and make some purchases of that level.

@jim again, yep it really does

i dare say it was normal price. excellent passing is just really low ...
2008-04-12 18:37:01
yeah, thats why I sold him.
2008-04-12 18:40:49
I would personally think that his value was more like 2.3 million, at least thats what I would expect for him if he was my player.

It does suck when players sell for less than you was hoping for, I know from personal experience that it can ruin your well laid plans, so you have my sympathies Kipper.

cheers well we will see if it ruins my plans in roughly 2 mins. I will post the next player I buy then I will see how I do.

looking forward to you in a few years when you have some cash and make some purchases of that level.

Fews years? Perhaps a bit optomistic. Ken will be in Russia again by then.

Bruno Cabanões, age: 22
value: 356 850 £, wage: 3 315 £
club: Celtic Wanderers, country: Portugal
incredible form, unsatisfactory tactical discipline

formidable stamina, unsatisfactory keeper
incredible pace, brilliant defender
solid technique, average playmaker
formidable passing, good striker

3mil, let the bashing commence. Just to say he had 3.25 yth school talent and is +5 in pace.
2008-04-12 18:46:50
Probably one of your better buys. Price more or less about right. Not a bargain, but not robbed.

[ken]U WERE ROBBED INNIT IVE SEEN THOSE PLAYERS GO FOR £2!!!![/ken]
2008-04-12 18:47:50
I have to love how slow pace training is, it takes at least 6 weeks to pop to brilliant even with YP talent that high!!

I would personally say that you was perhaps a *little* robbed on him, not much though.
2008-04-12 18:48:15
cheers Gibbage, he gives me flexibility in the prem. In that he can play as a defender and a mid and as I train tech, playmaking and passing in the next 2 seasons he will be worth 5mil when 25
2008-04-12 18:49:15
again its down to finding a deal for a player. I was offered players with slightly higher playmaking (rounghly solid) for another £750k
