Looks a decent buy to me.
Didn't realise you plan to train pace for so much longer though.

I have changed my plans :P
Was going to do tech next season, but I have several players who need pace so they stand a chance of playing NT footy. Wilkins is the main one, but all my star trainees really need it so thought I would do that for at least the next 2 seasons, will probably switch to pace permanent in the end though.

A similar plan to me then, I'm sure it will work well for you. You just have to be willing to sell off your top trainees when the time is right, when you only train one skill, you can't train any one player for too long!

if you have a high keeper level on your head coach so can get some randoms on that while pace training then excellent bargain - same goes for passing randoms

Looks about right perhaps a tad expensive, the only transfer I can really compare it to is Sheff City who had a GK with 3.5 YP talent also aged 17.
He was Excellent Keeper, Weak Pace, Excellent passing and sold for 250k too.

That is a massive bargain for the buyer there!
I think small bargain JJK.

Yep, I think you are right, it was a massive bargain for the buyer on Sheff City's keeper.
I was going to for him myself, but just don't have the finds right now, I'm about the zero mark.

£1.4m; replacing my 25/26y/o reserve defenders before I embark on a stint of pace training.

Looks ok, not sure I like his stamina really though.
It will really start to get annoying over the next few seasons when he never really performs quite as you would hope he would due to the low stamina.

I agree: that might be a bit annoying in the cup, but as he's only a reserve I figured with a few pace pops in a season or so he'll have gone up in value by at least £1m, at which point someone else can deal with the pap stamina :-)
