still even 1.5 talent is the best i've seen

i am pretty sure i've had consecutive pops in the past but means he has pretty high talent. Problem comes if he takes 3 weeks to pop next

Doubt he can do that badly - but I don't think it'll make much difference when it comes to the higher levels anyway

consecutive pops are not that rare in low levels, but to average, that impressive!

I think it helps that you are still in the cup, competitive games give a fair bit of extra training when compared to friendlies.

He was to be a temporary trainee, but I shall see how he goes long term now

good point - the youngsters rarely get the full training for many weeks in a row - nearly losing yesterday was worth it!

Yep, I noted just how much of a difference it can make when chatting to pilotfish about the progress of his first XI pace trainees last season. Some of them were popping a fair bit faster than my trainees of similar age and talent who were playing friendlies.

Hopefully I can have a long cup run this season and take advantage of this extra training!

you can try....

try using some of your youths in league game, that way you will have some main squad players in the cup, sometimes i manage to get double benefit that way [;

A tad disrespectful to Glory Hornets (and especially unlikely to work as I have no keeper)
and Springfield are playing their A team in the cup

and anyway auto promotion to the premiership is the target this year - not 5% extra training for 1 week on a player I might have many seasons

Just got a mail back from the previous owner of the guy I bought. He says he had 4 week talent in junior school, if its true then I am happy enough.
