Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

I'd say normal with those secondaries.
2008-07-04 14:11:44
Well I am hoping for a couple of randoms and to get the pace up to a decent level, probably solid or with luck V Good, train stamina for 2 weeks in the off season and sell him once I change to tech ..... should make a profit shouldn't I?
2008-07-04 14:24:12
In the new season market, i would have thought so. I don't think he will make very good pace, but you never know.
2008-07-04 14:27:26
You are probably right, it depends if he is near a pop now and if he has a bit of talent.

Impulse purchase for £599k.

Jade Maras, age: 22
club: Slackers FC, country: Australia
value: 148 500 £, wage: 1 665 £
very good form, unsatisfactory tactical discipline

very good stamina tragic keeper
very good pace formidable defender
very good technique poor playmaker
average passing formidable striker

I decided that I'd train a week or two of striker soon because then I can bump a 27y/o who is a formidable striker with 70 weeks of general training and who must be somewhere near a pop by now! I'm too tight to sell him when he is on the verge of a pop that I think could make a few hundred k difference to his sale price. However, looking at my squad there were only 5 players worth giving striker training to so I needed another one on the cheap.

I am going to train pace soon, honest I am, but there's also a call for a sole week of defending to bump a 27y/o defender who is ridiculously overdue a pop to magical defending before I sell and who isn't going to be worth pace training.

So, B or R? I thought I had him at £450k but got into a bidding war with some pest who put a bid in a second before the deadline.

I think that is a bit of a bargain actually, not a bad defender either. ;)

unsatisfactory pace hopeless defender
excellent technique poor playmaker
very good passing hopeless striker

depends on talent, but you cannot be robbed much when buying players at that prices, so good luck [;
2008-07-05 11:51:42
I was robbed for buying a 20yo for 57k so I dont really know the prices that can be a bargain or robbed.
2008-07-05 12:01:13
try to avoid single skilled players, they are useless, unless you buy them all with the same high skill and train other (just not that skill that is already high)

but everything depends on talent, if you see that one has no talent, sack him sell him or whatever you want, just dont train him as he uses a training spot.
2008-07-05 12:04:04
He aint getting first team spot until I train PM, which is in 2 seasons time. I switch my squad around all the time to fit my training, ultimately he was bought for my pace training, after that he will be in the reserves until my PM training.
2008-07-05 12:07:32
there is almost no difference between the first and second team.
2008-07-05 12:11:29
There is, as far as i was thought, if a player plays Sunday matches(first team) they recieve more training than wednesday (reserves()
2008-07-05 12:17:33
it is so small, that you wont ever notice it, friendly matches give you around 90% of training, and league matches around 95% of it, so 5% difference. So player that plays in your first squad will have one week training advantage only after 20 weeks, thats 4 weeks more than one season...

just paid 70k for him.didn't think i was going to be on at time of sale, so just stuck a bid on. winger trainee, and will get loads of pace and tech for 4/5 seasons. i think i was robbed, but if talented, i could make more when he's 20/21.

Abe Berg, age: 16
club: real toms tits, country: Nederland
value: 19 050 £, wage: 390 £
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

hopeless stamina tragic keeper
hopeless pace hopeless defender
adequate technique hopeless playmaker
good passing poor striker

Any half decent 16 yr old right now is going to cost a lot.....could be a bargain. Again once you prove talent you will know for sure. ;)
