I hope you are planning some technique for him mate........
You'll get very frustrated with him until you do train tech though. Look at placing as high up the pitch as possible, or you'll find any bumbling III defender tackling him
I already have a player who have got low tech and well I understand what you are saying but if the player cant reach the ball then he is hopeless. What I look for in strikers is just their pace and their finishing. Whats the point of tech, they are going to get tackled anyway.
My trainee strikers don't get tackled all of the time, they have really good technique. Once I have finished training that this season they will be very tough to tackle indeed. Especially Herbski who I would expect to be Unearthly in pace with Magical technique.....he can't finish for toffee though judging by Sundays poor performance. ;)
Yh but what I'm really trying to put across is that strikers with decent technique e.g. Very good they were going out of my price range. Before I was looking for a player with this sort of skills:
Solid pace
Solid tech
Solid finishing
but that was too expensive, so I switched my attention to buying strikers with solid tech and solid striker and that player is Rudolfo May so now I am switching my attention to solid pace and solid finishing. Forget the tech as if a can reach the ball first he has to have at least a decent finishing ability.

ken in III you will find high tech is essential. Otherwise even if you get to the ball you will then be tackled. It is better to have high tech, so that once you recieve a pass you can keep hold of it. I have a player who is not so fast but regularly skips past several defenders on his way into the box. As for finishing, both my main stikers - 1 Outstanding & 1 formidable, struggle to break 25% goals to shots ratio. I would say if you have to have 1 low stat high tech & passing ith low striker is mostly likely to get goals - its all about getting into position to fire off the shots
From training strikers myself I consider striking to be the least important out of the 3 skills a striker primarily needs. Still undecided whether higher tech or higher pace is better though..
So basically a striker with this skill is ideal:
very good stamina tragic keeper
solid pace weak defender
outstanding technique unsatisfactory playmaker
average passing good striker
very good stamina tragic keeper
solid pace weak defender
outstanding technique unsatisfactory playmaker
average passing good striker
Absolutely for pace training but if your not planning to train striker then i would recommend getting someone at least solid in that skill though.
Well now I know. It will go down as experience. Next time I would consider tech to striker. Still learning about the game.
