Hard to say bargain, but clearly very nice player!
2008-10-18 19:43:15
I don't think he is worth that much, although clearly at age 24 or so when fully trained he will be a beast and worth a fair bit more.
2008-10-18 19:43:24
Yup... 2nd best 18yo winger in SK :)
2008-10-18 19:43:51
I would have paid that, made enquiries about him and initially he said he was waiting 2 weeks to list, will be a spanking winger.
2008-10-18 19:44:07
Maybe a high price.. but i wanted the best my money can buy, and i think i got it :)
2008-10-18 19:48:15
I guess the difference for me is that I generally look at these players in terms of pace training. If I was to have bought him for nearly 5 million, then trained him in pace for two seasons, I would expect to sell for around the same price or a loss.
2008-10-18 19:51:22
Of course..pure pace training is for other players...
2008-10-18 19:53:11
The only comparison I can give is a player transfered 2 weeks ago, so probably a little better now:

Evert Eben, age: 18
club: St Johnstone, country: België
value: 130 500 £, wage: 1 560 £
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

average stamina average keeper
good pace excellent defender
excellent technique very good playmaker
very good passing weak striker

Price: 5 955 002 £
Pulled as: DIVINE +0 (week 2 pull)
Talent: 3.28
Other Facts: Top 18 year old MID in Sokker

In my opinion he is a better buy if you want an awesome midfielder trainee for silly money.
2008-10-18 19:53:57
That's one reason why I was going to make an offer for your Belgian 19yo, he needs some varied training ;).
2008-10-18 19:55:35
Well you can still make an offer for him if you want, I will always listen to offers ;-)
2008-10-18 19:55:49
not that i have any experience at this level, but I wouldn't say your example looks worth 1 million more than edovans. both will be awesome one day.
2008-10-18 20:00:20
In terms of total midfielder skills he was 6 better two weeks ago, to me that is quite a massive difference, especially when he also has better talent.

Then again I'm probably different to most in that I like my midfielders to be able to defend as well as all the other stuff. You will never really catch me buying a pure winger like that, I like a player to be more versatile.
