Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

All my players will improve too but that doesn't mean he'll random pop in keeping twice at that high level. Even with unearthly keeper coach and high sub level ;-)

level doesn't really matter with random pops, just talent really. its apparently roughly 2 seasons per pop i assume thats average talent. so if he is high level outstanding, he could make brilliant in 2.5 seasons. you stand no chance unless, you have a coach unearthly in keeping though.

Surely the skill level matters? A player is going to take longer to random all the way to outstanding than one doing the same til poor. Super talented bensted has 25 general trainings in playmaker with unearthly trainer and pretty good assistants...

1.8 mill i think i was robbed, i got carried away on the bidding, although I'm no expert on mid's though. Should still be able to make some money, if i sell him after a random on everything. hopefully he should be magical pace and nearly 24, as he is already high on some things.

I'm agree as tech isn't high enough prob about 300-400k over imo
2008-12-03 19:53:16
that's what i thought never mind can't win them all :)

~8-9 weeks general training is worth 1 trained week. Like DJ said, on top-level players it takes a lot longer between skills. Once a player is 25 or 26 and they pop to outstanding or higher, it's not worth waiting for another pop imo; if you do you'll be waiting longer than 2 and a half seasons, put it that way...

not according to phill it's not! i would be more towards his opinion though. no offense Jim!
2008-12-03 22:53:31
Phil is uber weak. Then again so is redjim.

Decisions decisions!
2008-12-03 22:56:20
Aye! it actually is! but I'm more towards phill because he basically knows what he is talking about with random pops as that is what his training is based around. If that makes sense

It's more likely to be true if you've got top coaches and very young talented players. Older players, and players at higher levels: no. I'm just warning you 2.5 weeks isn't applicable as a general rule of thumb as you'll be disappointed...
2008-12-03 23:05:30
What is that based on your team? Do you think you have the same coaches as everyone else? Do you have a head coach with unearthly in every skill? if yes then maybe ill consider it.

Although how do you come up with the fact pace trainers make so much money out of random pops in say a couple of seasons? Going by your theory it would be not worth just training pace.

Got to gather the facts don't take it as a dig at you :)

2.5 weeks

where did that come from? i meant 2.5 seasons or is that what you meant?

i have had a 17yo/18yo random in pace with one training, then 15 general that was excellent to formidable. My friend who play's on here had a player random in pace at i think 19 twice in one season with just 2 trainings between each one! that was only adequate-good though i also might be able to prove that one as she saved a graph. Also the player was not talented at all, mine is sort of though.
2008-12-03 23:14:19
That's based on my team, since I've been playing the game.

Nowadays I've got 3 magical assistants and this is the head coach...

unearthly of stamina brilliant of keeper
unearthly of pace unearthly of defender
unearthly of technique unearthly of playmaker
unearthly of passing incredible of striker

Like I said, buy young and they pop quicker. Buy talented, they pop quicker. Buy as new trainees, or ones a season or so old, then you're more likely to get mid or high sublevel players and hence get quicker random pops.

One of the best tactics is to buy and just see what happens in terms of random pops. If you get a load on one player sell him ASAP - it's stupid to keep him knowing that he's already popped and will take a while to come round again. In the meantime you can sell him, make a profit, buy another, and hope to get more random pops, quicker. It's a game of educated chance; having better coaches and younger talented players just makes the odds of winning better. That's the game Phil plays, and he's very good at it - he knows what he wants to buy and maximises his chances of profit by getting young talented players at under market price, who he knows will increase quickly with a few levels of pace. This is pretty much guaranteeing a profit, irrespective of how few, or many, random pops there are along with the pace. Touting them and advertising them helps a lot too.

Take it or leave it, but there's your explanation.
