I think that's a fair price for him; but at 28-29 you're going to take a million or two loss on the resale. Still, that seems to be the way of things in the TL at the moment on the older players.

I think if he randoms in a couple of things, the loss in a couple of seasons will be about £1m. Not too bad, not an unrecoverable loss anyway.
