both look alright buys. im not sure if they're bargains, but i wouldn't say robbed. you should makemoney on them with a few pace pops.

Great price as you train tech
you will make a profit after he is inc pace

I think you were robbed.. though if he is really talented then it is not bad

cheers its good to know.

tom bought his player from me and he has 3.5 week talent. hopefully he will get some nice randoms for him.

3.5 w talent with a magical coach. 824k, B or R?

Btw ignore the injury, happened in the first game in which he played for me. Ironic considering that he was bought for cover for a 24 week injury on a trainee! Will get pace, tech then striker (long term).

Looks a nice talented trainee. ;)
2009-03-03 08:46:40
Aye, but he was quite badly robbed!

I am going to disagree there, purely based on the fact that he has very nice secondaries, and with talent proven should get randoms. He is only 19 too and imo will make him money in the medium/long term. In the short term he probably would just about get his money back.

24 week injury ?!?!?!?
2009-03-03 11:29:50
I'll also disagree, he's looking at a triple formidable by the time the boy hits the end of next season, if trained properly, should double his money by then.
I don't know whether he'll be quite that good then, but even still, £1.5m+ at 21 with 3x formidable? I doubt it.

With general training on tech and striker, I reckon 18 weeks to get there. Maybe less if he's mid or high level very good on those skills. With that talent, 12 weeks to get from average - formidable in pace ?

He could do it, and still be 20. I've seen some silly bids for youngish players late in the season. But yes, the better strategy would be to hold onto him until he's 23 I guess. The pic will definitely make some money.
18 weeks to very good in generals maybe, with the right coaches. Unless he pops immediately in those skills they won't random again in that time. He will make money, yes, my point is that just because you make a profit on a player doesn't make him a bargain ;-) us lot in here are far nicer, i am fairly sure that if he were posted in the international version of this thread he would get a lot of robbed responses :-)
