Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

2009-05-06 09:58:14
What are you training?
2009-05-06 10:03:39
lets hope the answer includes the word technique...

tech or striker and he got a massive bargain - i'm gutted to be honest. 5 weeks to outstanding pace so plenty of talent.
2009-05-06 10:46:30
5 weeks to outstanding is pretty ordinary at that age to be honest. When i helped sty a while back a lot of his players needed tech but i can see he seems to have continued with pace.

its not that ordinary mate. i have screen shots of his 2 pops in YS both at 4 weeks, so he IS pretty talented. i assume he bought high pace because he wants to train tech or striker. 3 seasons tech training and he will be Incredible pace / outstanding tech / solid or v.good striker (not yet randomed since pulled). Add 3 seasons Striker training and he will b.e Brilliant pace / Incredible tech / Magical Striker. If trained long term he is a definite bargain for under 200k

I didn't say he wasn't a bargain :-) i had a player from my school who was a 5 to 5.5 week popper with formidable coach (what level is your coach?) and he took about the same amount of time to pop in pace at that level at 19y. His talent is good, but not better than that imo :-)
2009-05-06 12:15:36
my YC is magical. but you forget that there is no way of seeing sublevels. he took 4 weeks to formidable (1 week on the graph is untrained because i forgot to set reserve lineup) and then 5 to outstanding, but if he went to a quite high sublevel then he will take only 5 to incredible too. Plus, 'about the same' is vague. if he took another week then its 20% longer so fairly significant.

see... this is partly why i'm playing you in week 15 ;^D
2009-05-06 12:34:30
Just about to say the same :-) get the banter flowing, nah, his talent is alright, i just think plenty of talent was a very small exaggeration ;-)
2009-05-06 14:30:59
Striker for seven weeks then tech for 2 and a half seasons
2009-05-06 15:35:20
His talent is rubbish end of. :p
2009-05-06 15:36:21
I think you got a decent buy there if I am honest. Will certainly make you money in the long run, and at the expense of Dylanos thats double the value. ;)
2009-05-06 16:56:33
i've got a coach with unearthly in tech, pace and striker and no assistants so should i get assistants or one and will that make it quicker for the players to pop
2009-05-06 17:23:56
Your HC is fine for striker training, but get the best 3 assistants you can afford. It's generally agreed that it's better to get 3 lower level assistants rather than just 1 higher level assistant... and the wages are always cheaper this way.

E.g 3 x Solid (8) assistants = 24, is better than 1 x Incredible assistant (13) = 13

Thanks and will that my the players skilld pop quicker
2009-05-06 17:28:57
yes
2009-05-06 17:29:42
cheers no wonder they've been taking ages at times
