Must be nice to be in a position to be able to afford 1 million plus per trainee. You've earnt it though.
2009-09-08 22:45:37
I can afford a lot more than that per trainee, but don't think it will help me make any extra money in most cases.

You end up losing so much on sales tax that you can be barely left with a profit.

Wheres my violin. ;)

It must be hard having to worry about spending that much....I could always help you though?
2009-09-08 22:48:03
List Coatsworth then ;-)
2009-09-08 22:49:24
You can't afford him. :)
2009-09-08 22:55:11
I bet I can!
2009-09-08 22:58:41
You would only pull out once he got past 2.5m. ;)
2009-09-08 23:14:33
He would never get there!
2009-09-08 23:19:28
He would exceed that amount easily. I shall not argue my point any further for fear of you trying to wear me down. :P
2009-09-09 07:45:34
why do you have so much money..?? :S

and whats the point buying so many trainees.. what you doing..? 5 or 10 over the course of a few seasons..?
clearly mids too.... your team not suffere in results because of this?
from other countries i looked at they have a main team, and then 5 trainee players for reserve matches basically it seems...

Hes changing back to pace, but to really young players.....and will be pruposely dropping divisions and destroying fan mood in one foul swoop. The idea is to make it easier to have happier fans again.
2009-09-09 09:34:37
Sounds very much like my plan ;-)

It has helped regain my interest in sokker too, so its already served its purpose.
2009-09-09 09:46:42
Thats a good thing, getting stale can often see people quit which is wrong. Trying to change things first can often work imo. ;)

are you saying that any player over 18 / 19 that isn't massively talented isn't profitable ? Or isn't profitable enough for you ? :)

Just trying to understand your business model here - you're going to be stuck with a big bag of readies and nothing to do with it.
2009-09-09 11:27:53
A big bag of readies isn't a problem, infact my entire aim this season is to increase my already large pile of cash. Next season I can then afford to be wasting a little money buying in some top quality players to help get me back to winning ways.

Some players aged over 18/19 are profitable, but in general the biggest potential for quick money is on players aged 19 and lower. They pop faster, and with a few key pops in the right areas can suddenly look trainable & be worth a lot more than you paid.

Older players are really just for getting results, you can't expect to be making quick profits without a lot of luck with random pops.
