so can someone educate me on what makes him so good for 35k when he hasnt rele got any standout stats but is fairly rounded. i mean im not sayin hes bad but jus so i know

It makes him a lot easier to train and with his age to be eventually sold for a much greater profit. At this point in the season, you can expect probably 1 pop, a very slight maybe at getting 2 pops before he turns 18. (All depending on talent)

With this particular player, training say pace, to get him to solid pace. When he's 18, train him to VG Pace in 3-4 weeks, spend the rest of the season training striker and you'll have a roughly Excellent striker. He spent more on his trainee, but it'll pay off for him quicker than for example yours will.

Ultimately 'fairly rounded' is a good thing in sokker. Look at your guys - they are not great buys because even after training they won't be very good:

Alfred Porumbel , age 17
poor stamina tragic keeper
poor pace adequate defender
weak technique tragic playmaker
unsatisfactory passing tragic striker

After quite a bit of pace and tech training he will be like this perhaps:
excellent pace good defence
excellent tech (everything else rubbish)

thats a good defender with some pace and lots of useless tech and no further training value - not a great sale prospect. If you trained pace then defence he might be reasonable in term of price - but you could find equally cheap players with a bit of pm and passing and they would be better because they are more rounded and will sell better

and this guy:
Arjen Michels , age 18
poor stamina tragic keeper
tragic pace unsatisfactory defender
hopeless technique average playmaker
good passing adequate striker

he is either a striker with no pace or tech (1 out of 3 important skills is a bad place to start) or a midfielder with no pace, tech or defence (if he was 16 maybe you could make up these gaps but 18 is too late.

You should be able to find a Striker with at least a bit of each skill useful to the position
17
poor stamina tragic keeper
weak pace unsatisfactory defender
weak technique hopeless playmaker
hopeless passing adequate striker

He would be better and cheaper as a pace and tech trainee. You can get this guy to double excellent much quicker while still young enough that someone will take him on for further training. You could find better with patience

2009-11-11 08:48:04
and mine?
2009-11-11 11:11:23
15 k isn't much money to lose, and if you train him in a main skill you can eventually sell on for a profit. But he is approaching 19, and there might be better players out there, almost certainly not for that money though.

Accidental purchase... it was late and I meant to press Observe not bid.

Expensive mistake - ended up paying just under 1.2M

Włodzimierz Dobosiewicz, age: 28
value: 547 200 £, wage: 6 270 £
incredible form, average tactical discipline
NTDB:
formidable stamina, hopeless keeper
magical pace, magical defender
excellent technique, solid playmaker
adequate passing, solid striker

B or R? - Or more to the point, will I get my money back when I sell him after Sunday's game?
2009-11-13 17:41:50
I'd say normal. Redjim sold a similar 1 year older player for about that amount.
2009-11-13 17:42:55
phew (hopefully) - I just want to get my cash back!

and thanks

2009-11-13 21:46:33
