Subject: Bargain or Robbed? You decide

Not getting much feedback here though.....you lot obviously have a life and are getting smashed at the pub.....or indeed are under the table already. ;)

I was actually taking calls for Children in Need all night, was a great experience. Anyone else here done it before?

As for all your buys, you take a similar slant to me; by cheap trainees, and spend the big money on the first team.
2009-11-21 19:49:48
well yea, in your case I'm fairly certain you have the money to be bringing in those 1-2m trainees ^^

But then the actual profit is much less at least imo with those expensive trainees

and mine?
I've done comic relief before, but it was the year that who wants to be a millionaire was new. call centre with 400 operators all watching telly and waiting for it to end. after that i took a call for £1000, biggest donation to our place of the evening. it can be good fun !

...
2009-11-21 22:21:04
it's all me me me with the youth of today.

both require long term training to make any kind of money. if you're training pace, get poor pace players, the hopeless tech bloke could still be unsatisfactory tech in 2 seasons if you are training pace only.
2009-11-21 22:23:12
hey, i've just gone and sacked some old players, and i played at a fundraiser, i just need to know if ive made a mistake
2009-11-21 22:24:01
thanks. pm and tech is coming soon, after week 7
2009-11-21 22:26:09
eh? that first guy won't be worth much with only 7 weeks of pace imo.

Thats enough to get him to weak pace and even then thats assuming he's a 3.0 talent I think.
2009-11-21 22:29:21
ill do it when it comes along, just tired
2009-11-22 00:14:28
I think that is down to necessity in reality. ;)

I am going to struggle to stay in II unless I manage to keep competitive players. I also refuse to spend lots on trainees who are essentially just here for pace only, plus I have a fair few youngsters with known sub 4 talent to come through.
2009-11-23 13:21:44
£77k with definate talent of less than 4. Will get pace of course. ;) B or R?

Frank Riley, age: 17
value: 33 900 £, wage: 525 £
club: Longfield Tigers, country: England
excellent form, tragic tactical discipline

poor stamina, tragic keeper
tragic pace, solid defender
average technique, average playmaker
tragic passing, adequate striker
2009-11-23 16:03:25
You thieving some of a gun! If i wasn't hungover i'd have made you overpay!
2009-11-23 16:04:10
I am assuming you like the price then? ;)
2009-11-23 16:15:35
Grrrr.
