No, but i've seen better players sell for the same :-D

His tech is too low for his age and i don't believe you are training it? Passing would be a waste imo.

I'm not going to train him at all, he can just play in my defence for the next few of seasons. When I sell him hopefully I will perhaps lose only a little bit of money, not too much at all.

Perhaps. I think he's a bit young to be a non-trainee. That's where i think you've overpaid. His tech is not a concern to you?

On reflection he probably isn't quite good enough, if I had spent similar money on an older player I could have afforded a better player. The thinking is that by buying younger I can pick up a random pop on most of his skills over the seasons within my club rather than see a player deteriorate due to old age.

In terms of his market price, I think its fine but its not for me to decide & thats why I was asking you guys.

Its been a long time since I bought a non-trainee & its not been easy. It feels like every player I view as too expensive is rated cheap & every player I think is a bargain is actually a robbery!

It is tough but I just wonder whther you would be better going for slightly older players while you cover for the inadequacies of your trainees? They will be cheaper & bargainous hopefully. Your defender is still a nice buy but not in the league of Henchoz if that makes sense?

It does make sense in terms of ability & price paid.

For me there is a fear that players of his age group will start to fall in ability so fast that there is near enough zero re-sale value within a couple of seasons.

My thinking was that with my player I know that I will be able to keep him for five seasons & hopefully still re-coup most of my money.

Think about the up side too though. Your trainees will have less pressure and your team will play better meaning happier fans (more money) and longer cup run (more money). IMO I think with Henchoz jpk will recoup his money easily too and in 2 seasons....maybe not 5 but still you cannot expect to get money back on a mid 30 odd year old.

The addition of heights will soon either reduce your current players values or increase them imo too. ;)

Not sure but I bought 28 yr olds in the past and they never lost any skills until they were 31. So maybe thats a more suitable age range for you? I even had pops. Henchoz is not the only one I have seen thats gone for a bargain price.

I haven't seen any interesting info on decent oldies and their skill decline. Would be interesting to know how quickly an international standard player will drop to the point they become useless. That's what I plan to do with Harry Hardcastle.
