Needed to strengthen my keeper

Antti Rousku, age: 32

club: AFC Denton Sharks, country: Suomi
value: 337 350 £, wage: 4 860 £
adequate form, adequate tactical discipline
height: 182 cm

formidable stamina outstanding keeper
excellent pace average defender
average technique poor playmaker
outstanding passing weak striker

compared to my current keeper:

Efrem Batassini, age: 30

club: AFC Denton Sharks, country: Italia
value: 371 400 £, wage: 3 795 £
magical form, incredible tactical discipline
height: 164 cm

formidable stamina very good keeper
brilliant pace adequate defender
average technique average playmaker
average passing average striker

Anyways Rousku was bought for £256, 001, bargain or robbed?

price okish but robbed a bit on stats - the passing is so secondary to pace, and you will find excellent is just way too slow for III... you will get hammered on the 1-2-1s and lose balls in the box

Oh gosh that I didnt know, I dont buy keepers a lot, so I dont really know what to look for.

I won the prem with a solid - excellent paced keeper last season, it's not ideal but it isn't that bad.
2010-01-22 10:24:52
yeah but he was probably Divine keeper or similar, right?
2010-01-22 10:27:24
Hold on is it more important to have a keeper with high skills of keeper and passing to pace?
2010-01-22 10:45:38
keeper then pace then passing... passing is way down that list - you need to catch the ball before you do anything else with it!
2010-01-22 10:49:36
Oh ok I will bear that in mind thanks

I always think that keeping only needs to be a couple of levels better than the opposition forwards striking so how much it is worth paying for depends on the level you play at.

Whereas there is no limit to useful pace, you always want as much as you can afford.

Passing on the other hand you need some to avoid embarrassing mistakes - say excellent (make your own judgment) - and this level is what everyone should aim at regardless of level.

I agree on passing. I think people underestimate it so while they do i'll keep feeding off the poorly distributed opportunities.
