just hope is talented. I am planning something quite silly i expect which is to sell my starting defenders and have 4 defenders who I train in the mid week and he fits well.

I presume you train his secondaries?

I think one season for each secondary skill and then pace and defense till 26y and you wil make a nice profit.

I presume talent should be good with such high mainskills allready at 21y.

You are better off to buy midfielders and then train up their defender skills.

Yep, understand that but am just finished on defender for the minute. Just getting a bit bored to be honest.

I'm looking forward to some defender training, I reckon I can create some great players. Will have to wait until later in the season though, for now I'm sticking to passing.

Either way its a nice change to pace training ;-)

I reckon these two will be great defenders in the future, will train defender for around a couple of seasons I guess at which point they will certainly be very good in all-round skills.

They definately stand a great chance but with his higher pace already I should get a 23yo double unearthly with high secondaries.

Just a quick question. What's the best striker i can afford with 2.5? I've been shopping for around 2 weeks now and i'm rather hesitant to spend it on someone i don't think is good enough, for aim too high and they go for 3mil plus. Help :-)

P.S I very much like the idea Phil but surely the second one is a little too short to play CB?

It depends on age, how balanced a striker you want and whether you're bothered about secondaries...

You might get a balanced 29/30yo with say 3 x magical for around 2.5m.
Whereas for a 25/26yo at 2.5m you'd only get around brilliant/brilliant/incredible, or magical/magical/outstanding. If younger, obviously less.

If you want better defensive skills you'll have to pay more or sacrifice striker quality.

I would love a 25/26yo with brilliant/brilliant/incredible. Looking for someone who will score boatloads this seaosn and still be good enough for div II when i (hopefully) get promoted.

He would be playing my main striker role so not that bothered about pm, passing or tackling really. Thanks for the reply. Now just gotta hope one goes on the list soon!
